Good read!

Short book of the bible.  Read it slow and soak up the words and meaning.  Let the Lord God speak His truth to you.  Much more than a whale story. Once I read it and saw meat in this out had long since been a favorite of mine.

Psalm 121:5-6
The Lord watches over you— the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

When I read this verse, I think of Jonah, and how God grew a plant to provide him shade. (Jonah 4:5-6) This leafy plant that spouts up, is a symbol of God’s provision and protection over whomever He chooses, that included Ninevah, the 120,000 people who, “did not know their right hand from their left”. Jonah is a good example, because of his extensive experience with God. He has lived for God, and he has chosen to disobey and run from God. Through every type of experience, Jonah was never out of God’s reach of protection: and neither are we. Take refuge in the shadow of His wings.
