What Do You Believe About the Holy Spirit?

First I want to say all Christians should come together. I do not want to cause or have anyone think I am trying to cause division within the true believers of Christ. We all may have little differences here and there but this should not make us divide. That would create strife and that would only cause us to focus on something other than Christ.

I have some things to give thought to.   Tomorrow I will follow up with more what my thoughts.

Here are a few verses…
Isaiah 11:2
And the spirit of The Lord shall rest upon him,the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of councel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of The Lord.

II Corinthians 4:13
It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak,

Matthew 10:18-20
18 On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, 20 for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

John 16:7-11
7 But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; 10 in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

John 16:12-15
12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear.
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.

Romans 8:16
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

1 Corinthians 12:3
Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

Rev 2:11
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death.

Hebrews 3:7-8
7 So, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you hear his voice,
8 do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert,

Think about all the things the scriptures say about the Holy Spirit. Put out of your mind all of the things you may have thought or not that because of how you were raised or whatever. Pray about it. Ask God to reveal His truth the only truth to you.

Tomorrow come with a fresh open mind and let’s listen to what I have. We have to have hope. We have to believe Gods word to be true. We have to believe that with man things that are impossible ARE possible with Christ. Don’t let yourself get caught up in what the world will tell you….

Talk to you all tomorrow….

  1. I wish the Holy Spirit would descend on all religious leaders to come together.and agree together on how to find the wisdom to achieve peace among all brothers and sisters of our Creator, regardless of the religious beliefs they inherited in their cultures..

What the world needs now in addition to love is wisdom..

    Regards and good will blogging

  2. I thought your choice of verses on the Holy Spirit was right on the money. He does give wisdom. Without this wisdom, we would be as lost as the lost now among us. Great article.
