1 John 4:20-21
20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command. Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sisters.
God does not include any loopholes that we humans have came to assume are simply there. He did not add a but if, or a unless they, or ANYTHING else. Plain and simple, we must love all.
I am not saying it is easy or comes naturally or that I do it all the time. I certainly have to work AT IT. Pray and ask God to forgive me and ask Him to help me love them just as He does. If we don’t love those that are not easy to love then are we any different than those doing the killing? Judgment day is not here yet and therefore even the most evil of evil still have a chance to turn to Christ. That is what our Father in Heaven wants and we should too. Continue to ask God to help you to see all of His children as He does and to love even those hardest to love. No one said it would be easy. This may in fact be one of the hardest things we have to do.
Thank you dear Jesus for being the greatest example. Help us to have a heart that breaks for the things that break your heart and help us to love others as You love….in the name of Jesus I give thanks…amen.
