What do these words make you think of? Habakkuk 1….

I am a little speechless. I had read this passage before and marked it. I seem to have a different view this time reading it. Could it be that it feels to familiar because of our recent and current headlines? Anyone else?

5 “Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.

6 I am raising up the Babylonians, that ruthless and impetuous people, who sweep across the whole earth to seize dwelling places not their own.

7 They are a feared and dreaded people; they are a law to themselves and promote their own honor.

8 Their horses are swifter than leopards, fiercer than wolves at dusk. Their cavalry gallops headlong; their horsemen come from afar. They fly like a vulture swooping to devour;

9 they all come bent on violence. Their hordes advance like a desert wind and gather prisoners like sand.

10 They deride kings and scoff at rulers. They laugh at all fortified cities; they build earthen ramps and capture them.

11 Then they sweep past like the wind and go on—guilty men, whose own strength is their god.”

    • I know! Thank you for reading. We have to stay in His word! I am finding He is revealing more of His mystery every day. One thing is for sure dear sister…we must hang onto our FAITH in the only one who can give us hope and save us! God bless you and your family!

    • I know how you feel when you only get to see your grown children once or twice a year if you are lucky. Same with mine! Stinks!

      Yes, this is really relevant when you study deeper into who these people were and where they came from. Times are urgent. God is giving everyone a chance for repentance. He, as in Noah’s day, is making it very clear to all those who will seek Him and watch and be ready…praying always. His word tells us over and over to watch. If you don’t watch you cannot discern the season of the times in which we live. Too many are clueless because they are selfishly consumed with THEIR lives to see beyond. A girl I work with who is 55 or so, told another lady ” I think there might be something going on in Iraq or something.” She is one of many. I can try to tell her things and she does not want to talk about it or acts like I am nuts for watching the things going on. Then, we should not be shocked, I was one at one time too. Glad The Lord opened my eyes fully.
      Bless you and your family and travel safely!
