Are You Listening?

They say when a woman is pregnant with child that over the months the baby comes to know the voice of their mother.

How does this occur?

This can only occur when the baby hears the loving mother talking with her unborn child. She cannot see her baby yet but she talks to that baby ALL the time as though the child were already in her arms! She may not see the baby in a baby form but she does see her belly grow and she KNOWS the baby is within. She cannot yet touch the baby’s hands or feet or sweet face, yet she can feel her child’s presence. That baby also feels and knows the presence of its loving mother.

Consider this when reading the verses below. If you say to yourself that you are not sure if you can hear The Father speaking to you and guiding you, or you don’t understand what people are talking about when they say they feel the presence of The Lord. You should ask yourself if you are talking or praising and worshiping The Lord in prayer, or are you only praying when you need Him to come to your rescue? Are you spending time in His word? Asking Him to reveal a new mystery of His to you as you read each day? A baby know the mothers voice and presence before birth because of a loving connection. The mother talks softly to her baby and lovingly awaits the birth. We should love God our Father so much that we cannot wait to see Him! We get to know Him more and more by reading His word and praying. We feel His presence grow stronger as we grow in His word.

Do you understand the parable Jesus is sharing in John 10?

John 10:1-6
“Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” Jesus used this figure of speech, but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them.

John 10:7-13: Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. The hired hand is not the shepherd and does not own the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.

If you don’t understand or hear His voice or feel His presence then pray and ask The Lord to help you, to show you and to guide you into His loving arms. Seek Him and delight yourself in Him as you walk towards Him. Keep your mind on Him always and never give up! Time is running out. Birth pangs are getting stronger and it is a must that we know His voice and that we know Him. It is a must that He knows we have that relationship with Him, that He knows we cannot wait for that day…
