URGENT SHOUT OUT!

Have you ever cried out to God?  Cried out to Jesus and yet felt as though He was not listening? 

Did you then wonder if you were just not good enough? 

Feel like maybe God could see you could never fit in with all of His children?

Tell yourself to just forget it because you are clearly alone and unloved and unwanted?

I too have been there.  I have even thought I was where I should be although something felt lacking.  I did not know what that something was because I had not truly experienced God.  I would go about my life and then I would find myself crying out again, hoping He might really answer this time.  Finally, when I had absolutely no other options except to keep shouting out to Christ with a heart full of hope and fully expecting Him to answer and thanking Him and praising His name He began to change me and not my situation.  I realized before that I had only going through the motions and the Lord knows our hearts better than we do.  This scripture and commentary says it perfect.  If you can relate to my experience right now, then keep crying out to Him and don’t give up on Him because He won’t give up on you!

Matthew 20:29-34
As Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him. Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!” The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!” Jesus stopped and called them. “What do you want me to do for you?” he asked. “Lord,” they answered, “we want our sight.” Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.
Commentary
My first thought when reading this passage was – Why did the men have to shout twice? Is it because the crowd was working to silence them the first time, or is Jesus trying to say something about seeking God? Is it even possible that Jesus didn’t hear them the first time, perhaps because of the noise level of the crowd? Jesus was given unparalleled insight into the hearts of men, so I submit that Jesus was aware of these two men from the outset. Perhaps He wanted to reveal the madness of the crowd, or place perseverance on display as part of everyday life. Sometimes we are convinced we believe something until the time comes when that belief is tested. These men had the eyes of their heart fixed upon Christ, and they were unwavering in their desperate pursuit of the One they knew could make them see. These men follow Jesus.
