Sometimes as it seems to get darker and darker our light seems it should be getting brighter. Sometimes mine is and then some days it seems it is flickering as though it might even go out. Today’s scripture has a prescription for that!
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
(I know, it sounds easier than it is in this dark world.)
If you struggle with thinking negative thoughts – memorize this verse. Also memorize 2 Corinthians 10:5. Fill your mind with the things that are described. If you do not know something true, Jesus loves you…think about that. Start by considering who Jesus is and how much He loved you and proved that he loved you in His sacrifice. Thinking about the light produces more light in your thoughts. The more light that shines the less darkness survives.
