Am I alone? Am I the only one that has claimed this? Suddenly there is this voice in your head saying, “so, you really think God has forgiven YOU for all of the detestable things you have done and said and THOUGHT?”
The evil one is out to steal, kill and destroy! God is faithful and does not lie! Don’t listen to the one who lies. The evil one has an evil plan so turn that around and praise the Lord God and give glory to Him. You have the victory over your past if you give it all to the Lord.
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.
Jesus’ invitation is for all. The invitation doesn’t say, “Those who feel worthy”, or “those who know the most about God”. The requirement is thirst or, in other words, “need”. The promise is not only for that thirst to be quenched, but it is to be quenched by a living water that flows from within. Recognize and remember today your need for Jesus. If Jesus is not exactly who He said He was, we are all hopelessly lost. Lord Jesus, help our unbelief! We praise you for the gift of the Holy Spirit!
