What Can It Look Like When The Lord God Has To Humble You?

I pray with the help and guidance of the Lord God that I walk humbly before my God.  He requires us to be humble.

What does it mean to be humble?  Simple Webster definition is:  Not to think of oneself as being better than anyone else.  Not to have an attitude of being better or more deserving of anything.

In Daniel, King Nebuchadnezzar found out the hard way.  He was king, he had a dream and Daniel explained that dream to him.  We read that he soon forgot about what Daniel warned him about and was found boasting about how he made all of this ….I  this, I that!  He thought pretty well of himself and we read that IMMEDIATELY there was a voice from Heaven.   What happened?   He was humbled!   This is only Daniel verses 4:34-35 so you get the full picture go and read all of chapter 4 if you haven’t already.

I think that the Lord God made His point to this King of Babylon. After, the king sang praises to the One True King of Kings!

Daniel 4:34-35
