You Get to Choose!

No one can do it for you.   No one can force you. No one  an brainwash you into believing.

You can be a pretender but God knows.

Joshua 24:15

And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

Neverending

The Lord takes care of these little guys, so how much more will He watch over all of us?

Do you know Him?  Do you need anything?  Do you need encouragement?  Do you need comfort?  There is so much packed into these passages.

Isaiah 55:6-12
Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.  “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.  As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,  so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

Questions for God?

Are you unsure?  Do you wish to believe but just can’t quite get it?  I was once there. I even though I did get it.  One day I truly had to pour everything I had out before Him and had to truly trust Him beyond all believe.  Why? I was at a place that I literally had no other choice. I already believed but I  suppose I hadn’t trusted Him in a way it takes.  I began to truly learn what worshiping the Lord was. Then I began to fall in love with Him.  At that point I began to realize that I really hadn’t known Him before.  He began to change ME. Life is still imperfect but I have hope that one day it will be perfect with our King of Kings!   I pray that if you don’t know Him like that now that you will cry out to Him.  Soon that time will be gone.  The opportunity will have passed.   Seek Him now.

1 Corinthians 2:6-12
We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.  No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.  None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.  However, as it is written:“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him—  these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.  For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.  What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us.
Commentary
All who have accepted Christ have received the Holy Spirit to live within them. It is He (the Holy Spirit) who reveals to us God’s wisdom and “the deep things of God”. (vs. 11 NIV) Today, consider the importance of fellowship and relationship with the Holy Spirit. He is God within us, works to be in relationship with us, and provides understanding about the things of God happening in, around, and through our lives. He was released to dwell within people upon Christ’s return to heaven. He is a vital part of God’s plan for our lives.

Speak the Truth

image

It seems to be the way many are headed today.  What?  Down the wrong path.  Pastors are leading many to eternal damnation and not eternal life.  In the book of Jude we read in verse 4  that many will be in the churches that will try to tear the children of the Lord apart and cause division and lead many in the wrong way. (I PARAPHRASED THAT).  I find it interesting that it says, long ago many were designated for this condemnation.  God warned us about everything.  We have to pull ourselves away from the things of this world and make time for Him and His word so that we are not deceived and we know the truth when we hear it.

We seem to have a huge movement saying there are many ways to get to Heaven.  There is more than one way to God. NO, THERE ISN’T!

We must be careful and not go with the flow.  We are responsible too. We cannot blame not knowing the truth is the fault of someone else or because of our pastor.   They WILL answer to the Lord themselves for leading the flock the wrong way.   We will also have to stand before the Son of Man and we will have to answer why we didn’t know we were being deceived.   You see,  if we are reading the Bible,  the words of the Lord God, and we are following its instruction and are praying to our Father in heaven and are seeking Him and His righteousness and His divine wisdom.  IF we are doing these things will we not know the truth when we hear it?  Will we not know when we are hearing lies from the pulpit?   Yes, it means you may have to separate yourself from friends and family who are following false doctrine. Sometimes the path to the Lord God feels lonely.  God is with us and you are not alone.  You will find others along the path, it simply seems a path less traveled.  That is because it is.

REMEMBERthere’s but one way to the Father in heaven and we are each responsible to know when we are on the wrong path.  We each must choose whom it is we will serve.   If you are unsure then cry out to God and ask Him to reveal Himself to you,  to reveal His truth to you.  To open your eyes and ears to see and hear the truth according to Him and not man.  He will not withhold the truth,  or His wisdom from any who seek Him and pray and ask for His guidance.

Finally! Love Wins, or has it?

Some say fear mongering.

Some say it is Truth.

Short clip shows the overlap of what OUR reality will be. I believe sooner than later. (Clip at the end.)

Why?

Is this part of what a great deception looks like?  Our own wants and desires deceive us. Our own hearts are evil.

This has been building for a long time. We have as a world been let go, you want this then you are an adult so you can have it,  go my CHILDREN have fun.

Sort of like being a mom and knowing that your child needs to eat a variety of food groups daily and not just drink alcohol but  they push you out and tell you to stop interfering because they are fine and they can make their own choices.

Parent is hurt,  mainly saddened and broken hearted because they can see the destruction that will come from this behavior.  More than that broken heart, it the great sadness of the ending and ruin of the “life” of this child you gave life to. They are headed for disaster,  for hell, eternal damnation. Of course that is after a short time of what they might call fun. Then the truth will hit them that this has brought more pain to their life, and they first thought it was a freedom but soon will appear more like a prison. Not only for them but for  the entire society that has now had the choices of a few forced on all.  Moral decay has been in the works for a lifetime.  Little by little until we have now for the most part topped out.

The Lord God Almighty has said, you don’t want my advice,  nor my help. You don’t seek me in prayer.  Ok my children that I HAVE LOVED AND STILL LOVE, and because I do love you all, yet you do not love me and only want me to go.  I will  go now.

After all, we as people can only take so much rejection before we walk away angry and hurt and rejected.  God is patient AND continues to be and if you truly call to him there might be some time.  For now it appears He has said,
“Ok, I have had enough of your rejection and your disobedience.  Take what you want,  do as you please,  reap what you sow. There will be normal consequences and they are not to be blamed on me. You can only look to yourselves because I am allowing you to have what you want.  A child that eats candy all day everyday and nothing else will more than likely have rotten teeth and severe malnutrition. So, do as you please!  Enough is enough and my creations want me not.”

Don’t rebel too long. We don’t need to be reminded of a famous line from “Gone with the Wind”, “Frankly my dear,  I don’t give a damn.” Wake up before it is too late and when you begin to knock on the door and beg God to please open up and these be the words  that you hear!  When we realize our dire need for our One true God. I hope it is not too late.  We are at the end if the hour and the game is about to end. Which team will you be on?  Only 2 sides,  1 is the losing side and 1 is the victorious side. Today is the day to choose whom you will serve.  Make no mistake,  you will serve someone.  Your so called “I will do as I please and will not bow to God.”  You WILL bow to something other than your own choices! Please don’t deceive yourselves!  When the evil one shows himself to all who thought they were simply living their own lives, it will be too late. So CHOOSE wisely while you can.  No one serves only himself, we all serve someone!  PICK A SIDE!

Middle East Prophecy Update – June 21st, 2015

Thank you for the update…Pastor JD Farag

Finally I don’t feel so crazy.  Like he said, at the least it should be a very interesting month!

Keep Hope Alive

Keep near the Lord. Draw nearer today than you were yesterday.  May God have mercy on us all.

Colossians 1:21-23
Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.  But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation — if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
Commentary
Even the Jews had corrupted what it meant to believe in God. Much of the leadership had lost their way and continued leading people in wrong directions. Jesus Christ came displaying the heart of a servant to even death on a cross, as well as claiming deity; He called Himself God. Through Christ is a radical new birth into God’s grace and mercy – and the new birth is freely given to us, paid for by Christ. The challenge today is to live firmly grounded in the hope we have in Christ no matter what comes. He is your rock and fortress, stand firm!

What is in Our Heart?

Colossians 3:15
15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. #Bible

Dear Father in Heaven,  please help each of us to see anything which needs cleansed from our hearts. Anything that should not be there.  Anything that will keep Your peace from taking complete rule of our hearts. Show each of us exactly what  we need to do in order to have pure hearts and clean hands so that we may be found worthy to escape all these things about to come upon the earth and so that we will be able to stand before the Son of Man.  Show us each day as we look up in anticipation waiting for the return of our Savior, show us anything that might be staining our garments so that we can repent of ANYTHING that would separate us from your holiness.
We thank You,  we praise You. ..in the name of Jesus we pray.

Do You Think Choices Matter?

My opinion is…..
What are you choosing?  A gift for a wedding?  Baby shower?  What Dr to use?  Where to work?  What foods to eat?  Some of these might be important and some not so much.

The one below holds eternal life and death.  I would say it is pretty important.

Revelation 14:11-12
And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.
Commentary
We are called to a courageous faith in Christ Jesus. There is a clear warning, and it articulates that there are 2 sides to the war for our souls – there’s the side of those who worship the beast and his image, and the side who keep the commandments of God by faith in Jesus. The NLT says that we must, “endure persecution patiently”. Let this truth be a reminder that there is urgency to our bearing the gospel message. The world and everything in it is on the clock! Share the good news and seek always to remain in the love of Christ Jesus our Lord.

Thinking about living for The Lord?

How long will you have to think?
Just one more party?
Just until I am married?
Just until I have sex?
Just until I am 25 and had time to have some fun?

Ready!

Sorry…too late.

Child, you can have fun while serving The Lord. It is a Godly fun. He wants you to enjoy life and only gives us direction for our safety and so we can have life more abundantly. If you are thinking about it then do it! Seek The Lord while He may still be found. There will be a time when it will be too late.
In Joshua it says…..YOU CHOOSE WHOM YOU WILL SERVE.
I feel this urgency to tell you that iHis judgement on this earth is coming quickly!

May God bless you…let us all give thanks and praise the name of Jesus! Amen

Joshua 24:15 You Choose!

It is great! We live in a country where we get to choose! People like that!
We have all heard the verse….but have we really? Have we heard the whole verse? I was stopped in my tracks. WOW!

But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.

Now, the underlined parts are the parts I remember. Not that it means any less, I mean you still choose and that means everything right? Yes! Take a look at the bold and especially the bold AND the underlined! Is it just me? I can read the words if serving The Lord seems undesirable to you THEN…. In the KJV I believe it says evil instead of undesirable.

I suppose for me it adds another layer to my decisions. How many times do I say I serve Him to find myself disgusted with myself, hopefully anyway. If I am not repenting then a bigger issue is sad because I did not even notice it. BUT, when I have to think if I make this choice that goes against what I know is not what God desires then I am actually saying that I believe serving The Lord Almighty is simply put, “not desirable or evil”.

Looking at the whole verse and that one part shines a whole new light on the subject! When we choose something God does not want we are saying that very hurtful thing to the Lord.

Dear Lord, thank you so much for showing me that which has been there all along. Forgive me for all the hurt I have given You when You only want the very best for all of Your children. Thank you and I pray that You Lord will help me to be more aware of each choice I make and what those choices are really saying to You.
