Worry?

I have no worries when I do the following!

Colossians 3:2

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

Seeking the Glue Holding All Together-Cern

The word of God tells us.  Why is it so hard for the scientists to believe?  Simply put, could it be because of the same lie the serpent told Eve in Genesis?  Do they deep down believe they can have the complete knowledge that God Almighty has?  Will they bring on more than they realize?

Colossians 1:15-17
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.  He is before all things, and in him all things hold together

Commentary
There is nothing in creation that came into being without Jesus Christ. All was created through Him and for Him. When we breathe, remember that gift came from God. Random chance did not collide to produce our ability to breathe, to think for ourselves, or to crave relationship and fellowship as we do. God is with us and He is revealed all around us. The balance of life itself and the world we know is held together by Jesus…and with perfect, infinite precision God elegantly crafts His love story. Take a moment today and recognize that you are surrounded by the signature of Christ.

Keep Hope Alive

Keep near the Lord. Draw nearer today than you were yesterday.  May God have mercy on us all.

Colossians 1:21-23
Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.  But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation — if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.
Commentary
Even the Jews had corrupted what it meant to believe in God. Much of the leadership had lost their way and continued leading people in wrong directions. Jesus Christ came displaying the heart of a servant to even death on a cross, as well as claiming deity; He called Himself God. Through Christ is a radical new birth into God’s grace and mercy – and the new birth is freely given to us, paid for by Christ. The challenge today is to live firmly grounded in the hope we have in Christ no matter what comes. He is your rock and fortress, stand firm!
