On The Road

We are all walking and we will all be faced with a choice, a decision. Which way will I choose? Which way will you choose?

World of Pain and Hurt and Sorrow

Isaiah 54:6 KJVS

For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

Isaiah 54:7-8 KJVS
For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee.

[8] In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.

I understand the context is concerning Israel.   I also believe that if you are a child of God’s that we can also embrace this.  We will all go through good times and not so good times.  The word moment is what I want to focus on here.  Truth is that our lives are full of brief moments.   Even months or years (sometimes just hours or days feel like too much), but regardless of the span of time you seem to be suffering,  it IS but a MOMENT in all of eternity.   God is with us and will always sustain you in those moments,  brief or long.  He is there.   Lean on Him. Cry out to Him. Draw close to Him. It is ALWAYS in these moments, long or short that I grow the most. BUT I only experience the growth when I lean into my redeemer, my salvation, my ONLY hope. He always brings me through stronger and yet softer. A little more humble. He and He alone gives me peace. Remember, His peace is not the peace the world gives but it is a peace that can only come from Jesus Christ. A peace between God and man and not a peace between man and this world.

Keep looking up!

“America’s Marines Singing “Days of Elijah””

Praise the One true God!

Dear Jesus, we come before You and praise Your Holy name! The name above all names! We thank You and You alone for everything, even the thinks we may not understand completely right now. BUT, we love You, we trust You, and we exalt your mighty name. Jesus we ask You to watch over all of our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus all over the world and yes, in Iran and Iraq and China and N Korea. Not just these but in all nations across this world. Dear Father in heaven, we pray that You would watch over our military, our sons and daughters, our mothers and fathers, our nieces and nephews. Our friends and neighbors. Watch over them as they are under attack. We ask that You would give them and our president and each of us Godly wisdom. War is not good or what we want. Sometimes it might be necessary. I trust You and You alone.

In the name above all names, I ask these things, thank You Jesus. Amen

Game Day!

1. Owner of the team.

2. Coach of the team.

3. Players of the team.

a. Quarterback

b. Receivers

c. Tightens

d. Runningbacks

4. FANS, or all those who are WATCHING.

You get my point, it takes all parts working together. One thing alone doesn’t make a football team nor does it make a game. AND without the fans watching it also seems rather pointless. If no one came to the games to watch and cheer the players on then why would you even be on the team?

Daily we must ask ourselves the following.:

What team are you playing for today?

Good or evil?

Right or wrong?

Selfish or selfless?

Surround yourself with teammates or like minded players, if not then you will not be able to play the game well because you will either be influenced by the opposite team BUT, if you are strong enough you can influence the opposite player to run a touchdown for your side. Then you would be like a mentor. Again, that means you must be walking the walk not just talking the talk.

So, those watching might be fans or brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, or unbelievers that could be touched and moved by watching the unbelievable moves of the givers and servers of good things.

Bottom line is we must NEVER weary of doing good and doing right even though it seems we are going up against a team that seems to have everything. They seem to have more fans on their side cheering them on. Maybe our stands look basically empty. Seems our coach didn’t even show up to help us, but we know that He IS in fact with us. AGAINST ALL ODDS KEEP ON FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT AND KEEP ON RUNNING THE GOOD RACE! Never give up and never give in!

1 Peter 4:10-11

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

As we enter into relationship with Christ and seek first His kingdom, we begin to recognize the gift(s) God has given us. We all must make the courageous choice to offer those gifts for the good of others and for His glory. Lord Jesus, may our hearts stand ever ready to ignite and move us into action as you show us opportunities to serve you. Holy Spirit, please lead us in obedience to Christ always – and press out of us the gifts we are meant to offer to the glory of God.
