Focus on Jesus Christ but, be informed. God bless all my brothers and sisters around the world!
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
(Mat 5:45 KJV)
We have all seen them. The horrible pictures. The rain that came so fast. They expected some rain yes but THIS?
So much loss. So much tragedy. So much pain. If you did not lose a loved one then the rest is just stuff right? Sure, as long as it was not your stuff. Right? We know that is the truth. Be thankful. While it might be the truth, when you are in the middle of this you are sad. Maybe you lost all your family photo’s. Maybe you lost everything except your life, like Job.
So, again we ask why?
By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
(Job 37:10 KJV)
Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:
(Job 37:11 KJV)
And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.
(Job 37:12 KJV)
He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.
(Job 37:13 KJV)
(Here the Lord gives us 3 possible reasons. ‘I personnnally found for his land interesting’.)
Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
(Job 37:14 KJV)
Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?
(Job 37:15 KJV)
Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?
(Job 37:16 KJV)
I see these last 3 verses and think… Do we notice when the sun shines on us and the temperature is that perfect 75 degrees? Do we notice when everything is going perfect? Do we notice when we buy and buy more and more things? Do we give thanks in all of the good things ALL of the time?
God is good ALL the time. When it rains it comes on the just and the unjust. We all should look within and see if we have any house cleaning to do. I for one know I always so. After taking a personal inventory and doing some personal repenting, maybe just maybe it would do us some good to notice all of the beauty that surrounds us most days. The butterflys that we watch land on a beautiful flower. The hummingbirds looking for some sugar. Sit in a quiet place and listen to the birds sing. Go to a park and watch children play. Learn to enjoy some of the simple things God surrounds us with on most days.
Thank you LORD God! Thank you for helping us to look up into the heavens. Look up and just shout THANK YOU JESUS! For you are an Awesome God and YOU are so very worthy of more than all of our complaints. Thank You!!! We praise your Holy name!
In the days of my youth I thought truth was pretty clear.
Today, all I can say is WOW. The world is so messed up. Truth, something that should be easy to distinguish has become so twisted that most are totally clueless to what “truth” actually is.
How did it become so murky? Now I hear that “truth” is depending upon who’s truth you are speaking about. It can be different if it is my truth. If it is your truth it might be something else. Then your coworkers may have even another truth.
WHAT??? See how messy this has become? How senseless it sounds? How can you go into a court of law and swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth and in doing so expect for a jury to use each persons “different truth” to decide on a persons innocence or guilt?
When anyone asks a question of me and I know if I answer how I personally think I know it is time to say, let’s go to the word of God and see what the word tells us. Do the scriptures say anything about truth? Truth is mentioned in the KJV 237 times. Here are just a very few verses.
Jer 5:1 KJV Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.
This next verse should cause each of us to open our eyes and look around. How fast has America gone down hill? How fast are we watching this nation transition from one horrid sin into yet one more and then one more and we are sitting in utter shock wondering what is going on. Is God trying to get the attention of any? Yet, are we refusing correction?
Jer 5:3 KJV O LORD, are not thine eyes upon the truth? thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved; thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: they have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.
This next verse pretty much sums it up.
Jer 7:28 KJV But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
Jer 9:3 KJV And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not me, saith the LORD.
Dan 7:16 KJV I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.
Dan 7:19 KJV Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;
Dan 8:12 KJV And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.
Dan 9:13 KJV As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
Dan 10:21 KJV But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.
Dan 11:2 KJV And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.
Then of course we have this. (Climate change? I don’t think so.)
Hos 4:1 KJV Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
Hos 4:2 KJV By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
Hos 4:3 KJV Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
Blame? We only each have to look within ourselves. Stop blaming everyone. REPENT, turn to the LORD GOD now.
Hos 4:6 KJV My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Jer 8:7 KJV Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD.
Jer 8:20 KJV The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.
Ever ask this question? I know I have. Ever had anyone ask why God would let such horrible things happen to seemingly good people? Why the loss of a child? Why such horrible child abuse leaving some to grow up as mean and abusive people themselves? Why some end up with nothing and struggle to just have a roof over their head? Why did the tornado come through and destroy the lives of so many? Why am I disliked by everyone? Why, why, why??? The questions go on and are never-ending. In the book of Job he asks God many questions. God answers quite clearly in one chapter. In a nutshell God asks Job, WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I BUILT THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE WORLD, ….He goes on to talk about all the amazing things He has done and created.
Who are we to question the God of everything including our very being. It is very humbling. In Genesis 50 it gives us a great understanding of how God’s plan in the longterm is so much more than we can ever imagine. We only see what is before us, what’s is hurting our hearts. We usually cannot even fathom anything good coming from something horrible and painful in our lives. Romans 8:28 tells us that God can turn ALL things to the good for those who are called by Him and for His good purpose. If you are a child of God then we can cry over pain, but we need to say ok Lord, this stinks and I don’t understand the why but I give it to You and trust You are going to do something great with this even if I may never know what the end picture will look like. My life is yours. Yes, we can cry. Yes we should cry out to God in our pain and it is ok to ask Him WHY LORD, WHY. Then we must resolve to trust Him and pick ourselves up and allow God in all His mercy to change us and mold us into that which He has desired and planned for us. That is when God can begin to use the negative for His good purpose and in the end to glorify Himself. Praise God!
His brothers then came and threw themselves down before him. “We are your slaves,” they said. But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.
After everything that Joseph has been through, he continues to show great wisdom in how he deals with his brothers. The experience of meeting them again after they had betrayed him was very difficult, yet God continues to give him strength to be the man who he saw in a dream so long ago. There are times in life when other people try to do us harm – or some kind of harm simply happens to us. These things do not surprise God, and it is within His power to work them out for His good purpose. Praise God for His faithfulness and strength!

Take refuge from the coming judgement….
20 Come, my people, enter your chambers,
And shut your doors behind you;
Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment,
Until the indignation is past.
21 For behold, the LORD comes out of His place
To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity;
The earth will also disclose her blood,
And will no more cover her slain.
Thank you Pastor JD!
The time is here.
The time has been here!
Why do we continually question things when we were clearly told?
Why does much of the world find it easier to believe a mere man such as a president of a country than to believe the sacred and Holy Word of God?
Pray, open the Word and read it. My grandmother lived in a time when much of the bible must have been hard to understand, but she still believed it with all her heart! WE NOW LIVE IN A TIME WHERE ALL THE THINGS WRITTEN ARE POSSIBLE AND WE CAN SEE THEY ARE POSSIBLE!
Jesus spoke these words concerning division and signs.
51 Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division.
52 From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother–in–law against daughter–in–law and daughter–in–law against mother–in–law.”
Interpreting the Times
54 He said to the crowd: “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does. 55 And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is. 56 Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?
57 “Why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right?
I will add this little clip. I found it interesting. I believe there is already much deception in this world right now! How long has Al Gore been telling people about climate change? Is it merely an accident that as he tried to quote words of Jesus that he was silenced? You decide.
Found this treasure and good news buried in the book of Isaiah. I had been reading about judgements and then I fell into this watering hole. Life giving! Can’t find the highway? Need your GPS? You will not find it with the GPS we use while looking for a place to eat, but you will need our daily compass called the Holy Bible to find it. The chapter is below and the highway is in verse 8. Encouragement in 4,5 and 6. After you find the highway you will find peace and joy.
JOY OF THE REDEEMED
1 The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, 2 it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the LORD, the splendor of our God.
3 Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way;
4 say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”
5 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
6 Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert.
7 The burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs. In the haunts where jackals once lay, grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.
8 And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it.
9 No lion will be there, nor any ravenous beast; they will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there,
10 and those the LORD has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
Considering all the chaos,
Considering all the sickness,
Considering all the fear,
Considering all those who don’t believe or simply refuse to,
Considering all the starving people of the world,
Can we all come together and agree things are the worst most of us have ever seen?
Yes, I have words of encouragement for all. Read each passage slowly as though you were eating a juicy flavorful strawberry (or something else if you have something against the berry). I hope you get life from these verses. Verse 10 has been a favorite of mine for a long time but the rest of it breathed the life of God into me.
1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever–present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Selah
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
8 Come and see the works of the LORD, the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire.
10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
THANK YOU JESUS….COME QUICK!
WE PRAISE YOUR MIGHTY NAME!
16 I heard and my heart pounded, my lips quivered at the sound; decay crept into my bones, and my legs trembled. Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity to come on the nation invading us.
17 Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.
