Who Will Help the Poor?

Psalm 35:9-10
Then my soul will rejoice in the Lord and delight in his salvation. My whole being will exclaim, “Who is like you, Lord? You rescue the poor from those too strong for them, the poor and needy from those who rob them.”

COMMENTARY
Jesus came for the poor, the downcast, the oppressed, and the sick. In truth, all are sick with sin and therefore all need Jesus. Christ meets this need we all have: how to deal with our sin. We are forgiven in Christ and there is reason for much rejoicing! Thank You God that You are for us, and are a God of justice and mercy. May we all experience You in a way that causes us to truly offer our lives to You in worship. Let us be the living sacrifices that please You. (Romans 12:1 paraphrased)

Boot Camp in September

Boot Camp in the Military is for the purpose of preparing a group of people for something that they probably aren’t fully ready to experience.

“Guest Speaker Ray Heitzman: “What has September’s Prophecy Events done for me?”

Giving of Your Heart

image

Those times you just whip out some cash and give without thinking twice about it, BUT not from a compulsion but joyfully.  Those are the times I believe this verse is speaking about.

What about the times we are going back and forth like a tug of war?  According to the verse below I have to ask the question…If you finally give does it even matter?

Now let me be clear,  it does matter as far as God can still use that money to help whoever it was meant to help and it will still glorify God the Father.  When we give in that attitude I am betting that the books in Heaven do not show an entry for that.  0.00 given on such and such day.

If we finally give in and give because others are watching and we don’t want to look bad then we already received our reward in the sight of man. I don’t know the verse for that off the top of my head but I do know there is one.

We need to be careful when giving and be humble before man and give with a cheerful heart before the Lord God!

2 Corinthians 9:7

7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Urgent New Year 911

Not one is impossible.
There is only one way.
You are not a lost cause.
Never think , “what is the point”.
We all CAN have hope, not as the world gives but as belief in Jesus Christ gives.
This year, 2015, seek the Lord while He may still be found. Time is ticking.
Romans 5:9-11
Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Commentary
You are justified by the blood of Christ alone. This means that justice has been done regarding the sinful lives we lead – and that price was paid by Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary. Without payment, we would be forever separate from God our Father, unable to enter His presence. Our sins were paid for by His death. This leaves us Christ alone to hold onto in order to relate to God. It is Christ resurrected that paves our way to salvation and eternal life. Through Christ ALONE you have received reconciliation, and so much more. Hold on tight to the one true Messiah.

Joy! ANOTHER GREAT DAY! Really? YES!

Why praise the Lord today?
We woke up this morning.
We slept in a warm comfortable bed.
We had a roof over our heads.
We have food in our cabinet and refrigerator.
We have heat and air.
We probably have a car to get us where we need to be.
We have jobs.
We have clothes on our backs.
We have hot water for warm showers.
We live in America and as of this moment it is still a pretty safe place to live. Even if you live in a bad area, all you need to do is compare it to the countries in the middle east to KNOW that you are still in the safest country.
AND LAST BUT SHOULD BE FIRST…….We have a savior and I pray you know Him!
So, for all those reasons, we have a lot to be thankful for this morning!

Please keep all who are less fortunate in your prayers and help wherever you can!
