Praise and Thanksgiving unto The Lord God

1 Chronicles 16:8-36 KJVS

Give thanks unto the Lord , call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

[9] Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.

[10] Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord .

[11] Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.

[12] Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

[13] O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

[14] He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

[15] Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;

[16] Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;

[17] And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,

[18] Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;

[19] When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.

[20] And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;

[21] He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,

[22] Saying , Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

[23] Sing unto the Lord , all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.

[24] Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.

[25] For great is the Lord , and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.

[26] For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.

[27] Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.

[28] Give unto the Lord , ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.

[29] Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

[30] Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.

[31] Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.

[32] Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.

[33] Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the Lord , because he cometh to judge the earth.

[34] O give thanks unto the Lord ; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

[35] And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.

[36] Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the Lord .

Why? Oh Lord God, Why?

I so want to go home.  First I have watched this world go into the unimaginable places I honestly never gave thought to.  I never dreamed of seeing such things happen here in America or the things around the world to our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. As I have watched and went from a range of emotions from shock, to anger to frustration.  I would hope that things would begin to get better and would see things only grow worse.  I have to only look to the Lord God,  our Father in Heaven.   I am glad Trump won. It feels good to at least see many brothers and sisters from all over the world praying for our new worldly leader and the values he says he has.   Now we need to put that focus back where it belongs,  on our Creator and Sustainer,  the love if our lives. Dear Lord God show me what You would have me do for You.  Thank You that You have  allowed me to see such evil so that I might see clearly that I have nothing here.  I do not want to hold on to a thing here.  My soul thirsts for You.

Psalm 84:1-2

How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!  My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

Commentary

Lord God, please create in me a heart that longs for You always. Help us to seek You every day in the details and circumstances of our everyday lives! Reveal Yourself God, and draw us close to You. Bring about repentance and restoration; heal our hearts and minds from the damage that constantly barrages us. May we always remember Your unfailing love and return to You: the only One worthy to be our first love.

Sweet Sound

May the sound of our praises be a sweet sweet sound in Your ear…

Psalm 63:5
I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

RUN…RUN…RUN…Don’t Look Back

Don’t slow or let discouragement beat you down.   If you should fall tgen, get back up and start where you left off!  God is for us and not against us!

Psalm 31:23-24

Commentary
Holy Spirit, please usher each of us into an ever deepening relationship with the Lord. Infuse us with the courage to live boldly and stand firm in the midst of lies and deceit that seek to disarm us. Let the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (NIV) become evident in our lives. Let the impact of Your amazing love for us change and guide everything we are in this life. Help us patiently hope in You alone Lord Jesus, for You are everything. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Where is Hope – God . . . are You there?

Psalm 65:2-4

2. You who answer prayer, to You all people will come.

3. When we were overwhelmed by sins, You forgave our transgressions.

4. Blessed are those You choose and bring near to live in Your courts!

We are filled with the good things of Your house, of Your holy temple.

Job 19:7

“Though I cry, ‘Violence!’ I get no response; though I call for help, there is no justice.

Job 19:10

He tears me down on every side till I am gone; He uproots my hope like a tree.

Psalm 5:2

Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to You I pray.

Ephesians 6:18

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Dear Father which art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.  As we come humbly before You Lord, we lift our hands to You and we praise the name of the Jesus.  We exalt thy most holy name.  Dear Lord we adore You yet we have not physically seen You with our eyes. We believe in You. We have faith in You and Your mighty power! We trust You! We have our hope in You!

Heavenly Father, we ask You to help any of us who is lacking in faith.  Maybe we have been beat down, worn out, walked over. Maybe some have prayed and prayed and feel like You are no longer listening to our voices.  We have all been there Lord.  Reveal Yourself to them who desperately are seeking You.  Speak to them who continue to cry out to You. Lord rescue the one who feels they cannot go on one more day. Give them Your strength in their weakness.  Help them to just hold on one more day.

Lord, fill those who are hungry, fill their stomachs. Fill the one with Your peace who is being tortured internally by anxiety.  Give them the peace as You give and not the false peace that the world promises. The world keeps us searching and seeking the peace, the hope, the joy that cannot be filled by anyone or anything but You!

Lord God, help us to know within our souls that when we pray that You do hear us. You are listening to us. Give us the steadfast spirit and the assurance that even if we do not get the answers we seek that it might only mean we need to ask and pray differently.  Sometimes in our selfishness we think are are seeking the right things. Help us oh Lord to look at things from a different perspective. You know what is best for us or for another individual. Help us to see that even when we are in great despair.   Help us to keep praying always and not to lose hope and to continue to give thanks even when we do not understand.  Your word says in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24 ….. 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 GIVE THANKS in ALL CIRCUMSTANCES; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.  19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not treat prophecies with contempt 21 but test them all; hold on to what is good, 22 reject every kind of evil.  23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 The one who calls you is faithful, and  He will do it.

Lord, we lift all our brothers and sisters up to You.  We lift up Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu and pray that the elections that are about to happen, that we will know and accept that Your will was accomplished regardless of our own desires. We know that You are always just and You know exactly what You are doing.  We do have hope that at the end of our road we can always look back and see why things had to work like You planned.  It is not all about us but it is about bringing glory to You! Our Creator! The I Am!  You know exactly what You are doing and we do not need to fear simply because we are not in control, because we never were.  YOU on the other hand always have been.  We ask Father that those of us with lost children will find their way to You.

Thank You for blessing us with Your word.  Your word sustains us. It teaches us.  It is living.  It is true!  It gives us HOPE….the hope that is found only in You.  In the name of Christ Jesus we give thanks for all these things. We praise You for You are most worthy!  Amen.

Who Has Said You are Worthless?

 “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. – Luke 12:4-7 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke12:4-7&version=NIV

A Beautiful Prayer

Tonight The Lord brought me to this passage to read. I found it to be a beautiful and perfect prayer. I wanted to share.

Psalm 19:1-14

The heavens declare the glory of God;the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Day after day they pour forth speech;night after night they reveal knowledge.

They have no speech, they use no words;no sound is heard from them.

Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,their words to the ends of the world.In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.

It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,like a champion rejoicing to run his course.

It rises at one end of the heavensand makes its circuit to the other;nothing is deprived of its warmth.

The law of the Lord is perfect,refreshing the soul.The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,making wise the simple.

The precepts of the Lord are right,giving joy to the heart.The commands of the Lord are radiant,giving light to the eyes.

The fear of the Lord is pure,enduring forever.The decrees of the Lord are firm,and all of them are righteous.

They are more precious than gold,than much pure gold;they are sweeter than honey,than honey from the honeycomb.

By them your servant is warned;in keeping them there is great reward.

But who can discern their own errors?Forgive my hidden faults.

Keep your servant also from willful sins;may they not rule over me.Then I will be blameless,innocent of great transgression.

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heartbe pleasing in your sight,Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Thank you Jesus for your presence that is with we always.
In Jesus name I give thanks and praise….amen.

Hope for Today?

We all have those days where we need a Word from God. Today’s word is HOPE.

Job 6:11
“What strength do I have, that I should still hope? What prospects, that I should be patient?

Job 11:18
You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety

Job 8:13
Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so perishes the hope of the godless. (We must never give up or lose our hope!)

Psalm 33:20-22
20 We wait in hope for the Lord;
he is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
22 May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you.

Psalm 42:5
Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
