Simple

John 6:29 is really pretty simple. Yet we as created people try our hardest to try to make simple things complicated.

I looked up the definition of simple. First it came up with definition as adjectives :

  1. Easy to understand
  2. Not complicated
  3. Free of deceit, sincere
  4. Humble or lowly
  5. A simple way of thinking

As a noun:

  1. Something simple, uncompounded
  2. Person of humble origins

Then I looked at the synonyms. I really liked the clarity they added to what was already easy to understand.

  1. Clean
  2. Homey
  3. Humble
  4. PURE
  5. Absolute
  6. Not difficult
  7. **childlike and innocent
  • A couple of things I noticed as I chose the words that describe the WORD of GOD that is given to us in the Holy Bible, the scriptures.

Psalm 116:6 (KJV)

The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and He helped me.

Matthew 18:3 (KJV and NIV)- Jesus is speaking

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

NIV

And he said, Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Romans 8:16

KJV The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

NIV The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

A couple of things I take away are:

Humble ourselves before the LORD and ask for Him to help us and teach us and reveal Himself to us in His word. So that we might truly be converted, or changed, and so that we become like or as little children. But wait! Are you saying we should be childish? NO, not childish in our behavior or thinking; but innocent as children, pure as children. Children are always learning and growing. They trust their Father and no one can convince them that their Father is wrong, or that they can’t TRUST Him. They believe His word with everything that is in them!

Praise God! Keep it simple and believe in Jesus Christ, hold onto your faith! Don’t become like teenagers who go out into the world and begin listening to worldly people such as their teachers or so many other unbelievers trying to confuse you. Holding on to the truth of Jesus Christ and be not deceived.

John 6:29

Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Commentary

The question is, “Who sent Jesus Christ?” For believers, it’s not really a question…because we know God the Father sent Him.

However for some, it is a question. Some say Jesus is a prophet, some say He was merely a teacher.

The issue on the table is His claim to deity; the claim He made to be God. Being a Christian means you believe that claim, and also believe He took the fullness of God’s wrath on the cross in our place.

Among all the things you could “do for God”, one thing matters most. Believe in Jesus Christ – “who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” (Revelation 1:8)

Looking To God

Psalm 34:7-8 KJV

The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

[8] O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

Is the USA in the Bible? Great American Eclipse Aug 21st, 2017 a Real End Time Sign?

I have watched many different things on this subject.   I have dug into the scriptures on this subject.  I  may not always agree with everything this pastor speaks,  but then I don’t agree 100% with any pastor.   I will say that he said some things that I hadn’t heard until this video.   I pray everyone would listen to and at least consider what he says and pray about it and as we are always told to fo, KEEP WATCHING AND LOOKING UP!

Great Endings

Don’t you love great endings?  Even when you have sat through a nail biting,  edge of your seat, heart pounding suspenseful thriller.  You know the ones, where you find yourself saying  “NO..DON’T DO IT!  DON’T GO IN THERE!”  They always go anyway and you knew they would. I don’t watch much these days because they are full of garbage but, I still remember the feelings that a good movie stirs up inside of you.   It is all about the ending.   Have you watched a movie that was on track with all the emotions and then the end either leaves you just hanging out to dry without intension of a sequel OR it just ends in such a way that you find yourself throughly depressed.   You end up feeling like you just totally wasted all of that time not to mention emotion that you invested in it.  (Spoiler alert….you did waste time and emotion…moving on.)

Now, think about the one that ends in a way that just blows your mind!  You would happily go through the stressful scenes again in order to achieve the high from the terrific stand up and cheer ending!

Ladies and gentlemen that is where we are approaching.  I don’t know how much time we have left but we are closer to the end every single day.  If you have read the book then you know how it ends.  In one way it differs from the movies we watch because this time we get to choose what ending we want.  Choose life!

Even so come Lord Jesus come!

Revelation 22:20-21
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

THE END.

Calm Down – Word of God Speaks

I am a little disturbed by many seemingly grounded Christians who have seemed to have went off the deep end of singing the praises of President Elect Donald Trump.  I am glad he won this election over the Clinton bunch.  Trump is merely a man.  If he does what he says he will do, God willing, then we could see good change.  If he appoints truly good people to the Supreme Court that in itself can have long term effects on the future of this nation.

I only want to have everyone who reads this to ask themselves a question.

Many have heard the ‘prophecy’ given by the fireman.  Many have been caught up in watching things unfold.  Many have prayed for Mr Trump and for America all across the world.  So many people have said, “Trump said he would build a wall and Ezekiel said that God sought a man that should make up a hedge (wall) and stand in the gap before me and my land.”  The Lord says BUT, I FOUND NONE.  The question we should be asking is…What does this all mean. Should brothers and sisters be putting on their party hats just yet?  Calm down and let’s continue to pray and watch.   Trump is merely a man.  Good intentions and plans,  maybe.  Could they be changed to something opposite along the way, possibly.  CALM DOWN,  stop singing Trump’s praises and keep looking for the One True Saviour,  Jesus Christ our Lord.

It appears the election has been won and sure we all felt a sense of relief and joy and give the glory to God.  We need to continue focusing on God and not Trump.   Keeping your eyes opened wide.

Ezekiel 22:30-31
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.  Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.

Commentary

I imagine that God was looking for a man like Noah. Jerusalem is in a terrible state as we enter this verse, among the list of sinful practices is: princes using their power to shed blood, making idols, oppression of foreigners and mistreatment of the fatherless and the widow, desecrating the Sabbath, men committing detestable offenses against women. God sought a man to stand in the gap so that the Lord could enact change in Jerusalem and bring life where there is currently only sin and death. God found no man that could do this, and thus Jerusalem is delivered into the hand of Babylon.

Excitement of a Gift!

Soon the season of gift giving and receiving begins! Some love the shopping and some not so much.   I am in the not so much catagory.

As most of us get older I think we tend not to really need a lot.  Need love of our family and friends more than things.  So giving is so much more than receiving.

Even for children I think they receive something and are super happy and then within a week they have forgotten all about it and moved on.

Have you received the gift of eternal salvation from the Lord Jesus Christ?   Just as Christmas comes once a year, we also live in a time when we still have the ability to accept the free gift of salvation.   No it is not only available at Christmas BUT,  it will not be available forever.   When you are shopping you look for the sales.   You want to get a good deal.   When you see the sale on the hottest ticket item of the year then you hurry in so you do not miss the opportunity!   If you haven’t received the gift of salvation yet I urge you to look at it closely for a moment.

Several things might happen.   You might die tonight or tomorrow.   The age of grace might end.   The church age ends and tribulation begins.  Either way the free gift is no longer available.   The Christmas sale is over, so to speak.

Don’t take the chance!   Hurry into the arms of our Saviour Jesus Christ!   Accept His gift and ask Him to show you and teach you all that you don’t know.   Don’t think you need to know everything about the word of God first.  Don’t listen to the lies.  Our God is the greatest teacher of all.  He won’t leave you nor forsake you.  He is love.  He us everything.   But, the window will not be open forever.  Just as a sale ends, so does the age of grace.

Luke 19:9-10

And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
