Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul:

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;

Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:

Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

I Pray for Preparedness

This verse and commentary speaks volumes to true Christians.   Many of our brothers and sisters in the Middle East and China and India and Asia and numerous other places around the world are already undergoing this type of persecution.  It is beginning in America.  Brothers and sisters, judgment WILL begin in the church.  Why?  It has too. I kept hearing that but yesterday during prayer time it hit me like a ton of rocks.  I will cover that in a blog later today.   We first need to know it will happen.   I pray we are each prepared to stand up and give testament for Jesus Christ regardless if our families are running the opposite direction.   WHERE WILL YOU STAND WHEN THE RUBBER MEETS THE ROAD?

Mark 13:9-11
You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues. On account of me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them.  And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.  Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
COMMENTARY
In a great many situations, the Holy Spirit is engaging us to “say whatever is given to us at the time”. Today my prayer for us all is that we would be receptive and able to recognize the Holy Spirit engaging us and also be obedient to His leading. Doing this may or may not cost us our lives each time; perhaps it will cost our reputation, our free time, our sense of convenience or comfort. Often, being obedient to the Holy Spirit leads us to situations where we need to depend on God more and more. That is where we live for Christ: ruthlessly depending on God for everything, every day.
