God Cares

Genesis 6:5-9

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Verse 5 isn’t talking about people having weak moments; the picture here is a total and complete corruption of the human heart. The people here were “hell-bent” on anything and everything except for God. In this moment, we see God’s desire for justice. Yet, Noah found favor. The KJV says that Noah found grace. God is Just, and God gives grace. The cost of sin is death and we are saved from that cost by Jesus. God’s wrath for all sin hit Jesus instead of us. That makes Jesus “the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him”. (John 14:6)

The Lion and The Lamb

Exactly what formed my opinion or my thought? Honestly I am certainly not alone. I find it interesting to ask someone. “You know that verse in the bible that talks about how a lion and a lamb will lie together?” They ALWAYS say, “Oh YES!” I love it when you can say, “well, that is not what it says”. As a matter of fact I did that yesterday with a coworker. She had a bible on her desk and so I said get your bible and see what it says. She did and she read it. The look on her face was priceless. NOW, let me be clear, I certainly had the same look of bewilderment on my face when I first became aware of this. I was in the privacy of my home in personal study instead of someone telling me about it. It was a couple of years ago when I realized this was incorrect memory of scripture . Really, I never memorized it, but it was just a thing in my mind where I thought that was what scripture said because I always heard that. BUT WHY? Why do so many say the bible has been changed? Well, I ran across a comment someone made on a video I was watching. I am so glad that I saw it! It cleared up the MYSTERY! I am in my 50’s! The commenter had said the Lion and the Lamb was written in the well known literature by Mark Twain. This is classic literature right? Who hasn’t had to study and read that book at some point in school? Who maybe has even watched the movie? The comment didn’t say where it was in the book so I went on a search. Finally I found it. It is in chapter 5 of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Below I have copied it from the online book I found. I would ask you to read the short part.

Ask yourself, is it possible that most of us believed that is what was written in the bible although many of us probably at one time couldn’t have told you where it was, but we thought it because of this book we were ALMOST ALL exposed to growing up? I find it interesting that in a fictional book we would all cling so closely in our minds to something written it it as truth. Why? Is it because it was a fictional pastor who said it in the fictional book?

Now that we know why that might be in our minds I would challenge everyone to go out and ask your bible savvy friends if they like the verse about the lion and the lamb and if they don’t call you out on it then tell them they are incorrect and that it says wolf and ask them to look up verse Isaiah 11:6 And read it.

Then, share what just might be the reason why.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. …taken from chapter 5- by Mark Twain

The minister gave out his text and droned along monotonously through an argument that was so prosy that many a head by and by began to nod —and yet it was an argument that dealt in limitless fire and brimstone and tdownhinned the predestined elect down to a company so small as to be hardly worth the saving. Tom counted the pages of the sermon; after church he always knew how many pages there had been, but he seldom knew anything else about the discourse. However, this time he was really interested for a little while. The minister made a grand and moving picture of the assembling together of the world’s hosts at the millennium when the lion and the lamb should lie down together and a little child should lead them. But the pathos, the lesson, the moral of the great spectacle were lost upon the boy; he only thought of the conspicuousness of the principal character before the on–looking nations; his face lit with the thought, and he said to himself that he wished he could be that child, if it was a tame lion.

Here is what the scripture actually says.

Isaiah 11:6 KJV
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

And the wolf will dwell with the lamb,
And the leopard will lie down with the young goat,
And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
And a little boy will lead them.

American Standard Version

And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

“Powerful Warning to America! (2018-2019)”

Isaiah 51:7-8 KJVS
Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

[8] For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

Pray for Understanding

Hebrews 6:4-6
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

This verse has some weight. This is strong language in the context of a warning about falling away from faith in Jesus Christ. It is my belief that in order to “fall away” a person must reject Jesus Christ as the necessary way to right relationship with God. More context confirms that these Christians have come from a Jewish background, and some of them are returning exclusively to a belief system founded upon religious practices, turning away from Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone of their faith in God. This kind of hardness of heart, shields them from recognizing that they have a need to repent, and that Jesus Christ is THE centerpiece and THE atonement for that restorative entrance into right relationship with God. Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

Need Someone to Pray for You? Read to the Last Part…Jesus Prays for Us…

Prayer for the Son

1These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Prayer for the Disciples

6I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. 7Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. 8For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. 9I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. 10And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. 11And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

13And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Prayer for all Believers

20Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. 24Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

25O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. 26And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Close Your Eyes & Listen (Ask yourself after what you REALLY think…God already knows-do you?)

Only God Could Do Such A Thing-Are You Watching?

Before watching this one in-particular I had told a friend that the 6 day war suddenly reminded me of how God created the world and all in it in 6 days and then rested on the 7th.  That suddenly came to my mind and then after I watched this and it mentioned the same.  I could not help but to cry as I heard the shofar blow after they reached the wailing wall.

Are you watching?  Are you reading the word of God?  It is time for much more to happen!

You don’t like Israel you say?  You have a list of reasons?

I would say that we each need to pray that the Lord God would show us where we are wrong in any way we think.  Pray for God to circumcise (cut away) our hearts of anything wicked, of anything not in line with the will of our Father in Heaven.  You see, it really does not matter what we think but only matters what God Almighty desires.  His way is perfect, ALWAYS.  One day we will see that.

Deuteronomy 30

That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.

4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

And the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

And the Lord thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the Lord, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.

And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:

10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.

12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

16 In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

20 That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Sounds Too Good to be True?

I am 52. I remember seeing in these science leaflets at school how one day you would be able to see the person on the other end of the phone.  Seemed too Jetsons to be true. Joke was on me.

Calm Down – Word of God Speaks

I am a little disturbed by many seemingly grounded Christians who have seemed to have went off the deep end of singing the praises of President Elect Donald Trump.  I am glad he won this election over the Clinton bunch.  Trump is merely a man.  If he does what he says he will do, God willing, then we could see good change.  If he appoints truly good people to the Supreme Court that in itself can have long term effects on the future of this nation.

I only want to have everyone who reads this to ask themselves a question.

Many have heard the ‘prophecy’ given by the fireman.  Many have been caught up in watching things unfold.  Many have prayed for Mr Trump and for America all across the world.  So many people have said, “Trump said he would build a wall and Ezekiel said that God sought a man that should make up a hedge (wall) and stand in the gap before me and my land.”  The Lord says BUT, I FOUND NONE.  The question we should be asking is…What does this all mean. Should brothers and sisters be putting on their party hats just yet?  Calm down and let’s continue to pray and watch.   Trump is merely a man.  Good intentions and plans,  maybe.  Could they be changed to something opposite along the way, possibly.  CALM DOWN,  stop singing Trump’s praises and keep looking for the One True Saviour,  Jesus Christ our Lord.

It appears the election has been won and sure we all felt a sense of relief and joy and give the glory to God.  We need to continue focusing on God and not Trump.   Keeping your eyes opened wide.

Ezekiel 22:30-31
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.  Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.

I imagine that God was looking for a man like Noah. Jerusalem is in a terrible state as we enter this verse, among the list of sinful practices is: princes using their power to shed blood, making idols, oppression of foreigners and mistreatment of the fatherless and the widow, desecrating the Sabbath, men committing detestable offenses against women. God sought a man to stand in the gap so that the Lord could enact change in Jerusalem and bring life where there is currently only sin and death. God found no man that could do this, and thus Jerusalem is delivered into the hand of Babylon.

Praise the Lord!  I know from experience but more importantly I know from reading the word of God.

When studying the book of Ruth the Lord God opened my eyes to the very thing. NO COINCIDENCES!
