Don’t Look Back – I Can See The Finish Line! Keep Running!

Jas 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

Jas 5:8  Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
Jas 5:9  Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
Jas 5:10  Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
Jas 5:11  Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
Jas 5:12  But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

Drive Them Out! You Decide…

Word of God speak.  Speak to your people.  Show us what You, the Lord God Almighty, would want your people to glean from Your  word.

In the name of Your son Jesus Christ I ask this and pray…amen.

I have not been able to shake the words from my heard when President Trump said in his speech while in Saudi Arabia…”Drive them out”!  He said it several times and forcefully.  Face it, I don’t really ever hear people speak like that here in America.  Not using those words.  I kept thinking that those words were in the Holy Bible.  So this morning I decided to do a search on the phrase and see what it pulled up.

Read the verses below.  Read them all in succession.  I have inserted my thoughts again when I noticed a change.  DRIVE THEM OUT, was quite an interesting search for me this morning.

Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.
Exo 6:1 KJV

I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.
Exo 23:29 KJV

By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.
Exo 23:30 KJV

And I will set thy bounds from the Red sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
Exo 23:31 KJV

Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.
Num 22:6 KJV

Behold, there is a people come out of Egypt, which covereth the face of the earth: come now, curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out.
Num 22:11 KJV

Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.
Deu 9:3 KJV

Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.
Deu 9:4 KJV

Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Deu 9:5 KJV

For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
Deu 18:12 KJV

Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.
Jos 14:12 KJV

As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.
Jos 15:63 KJV

Notice that from the following 3 verses that the children of Israel were now strong AND YET, the scriptures tell us they did not drive them but instead they used them in forced labor or slave labor.  (That is what I gather from the word tribute.  Other translations show it to be slave labor or forced labor.)  So, they were strong enough to do what the Lord God instructed them to do but instead they stopped short of that.  Maybe they became tired and decided that if they made them do work for them then it would be a win win.  They could stop fighting and do some trade off.  BUT, NOTICE WHAT THE LORD says in Judges 2:3.  Seems it is still the same today.

May God have mercy on us all.

Yet it came to pass, when the children of Israel were waxen strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute; but did not utterly drive them out.
Jos 17:13 KJV

And it came to pass, when Israel was strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute, and did not utterly drive them out.
Jdg 1:28 KJV

But the Asherites dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land: for they did not drive them out.
Jdg 1:32 KJV

Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.
Jdg 2:3 KJV

All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.
Hos 9:15 KJV

John Haller’s Prophecy Update “Israel Trip” May 28th, 2017

Only God Could Do Such A Thing-Are You Watching?

Before watching this one in-particular I had told a friend that the 6 day war suddenly reminded me of how God created the world and all in it in 6 days and then rested on the 7th.  That suddenly came to my mind and then after I watched this and it mentioned the same.  I could not help but to cry as I heard the shofar blow after they reached the wailing wall.

Are you watching?  Are you reading the word of God?  It is time for much more to happen!

You don’t like Israel you say?  You have a list of reasons?

I would say that we each need to pray that the Lord God would show us where we are wrong in any way we think.  Pray for God to circumcise (cut away) our hearts of anything wicked, of anything not in line with the will of our Father in Heaven.  You see, it really does not matter what we think but only matters what God Almighty desires.  His way is perfect, ALWAYS.  One day we will see that.

Deuteronomy 30

That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.

4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

And the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

And the Lord thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the Lord, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.

And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:

10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.

12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

16 In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

20 That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Justice

Luke 18:1-8
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;  Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:  And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.  And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;  Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.  And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.  And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?  I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

COMMENTARY

Today we have a story of a judge who is “unjust”. The end of this parable finds the corrupt judge granting justice to a widow who simply would not stop bothering him. She does not find justice in her situation because the judge’s heart turns around, but because of her persistence. The question on the table is: Do you believe that God will give you justice? This passage promises that God gives justice to “his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night”, and that he will do it quickly. Are you willing to believe that today and live in a way that reflects that you trust God completely with justice? When we are hurt or wronged, and wish to seek retribution – we either take matters into our own hands, or we release matters into God’s. Let Him take the lead on justice, and allow Him to work forgiveness in your heart.

No One Can Touch You Like Prayer from Jesus Himself

The High Priestly Prayer

Joh 17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

Joh 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

Joh 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Joh 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

Joh 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Joh 17:6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

Joh 17:7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

Joh 17:8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

Joh 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

Joh 17:10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.

Joh 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

Joh 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Joh 17:13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

Joh 17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Joh 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

Joh 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Joh 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Joh 17:18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

Joh 17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

Joh 17:20  Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Joh 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Joh 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Joh 17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Joh 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Joh 17:25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

Joh 17:26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Sifting Wheat

I wonder how many of us -brothers and sisters – ,how many think we are strong enough?  How many of us think we would NEVER deny Jesus Christ?  Peter thought the same thing. We must stay prayed up.  None of us is strong enough left on our own.

Luke 22:31-34
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:  But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.  And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.  And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

Calm Down – Word of God Speaks

I am a little disturbed by many seemingly grounded Christians who have seemed to have went off the deep end of singing the praises of President Elect Donald Trump.  I am glad he won this election over the Clinton bunch.  Trump is merely a man.  If he does what he says he will do, God willing, then we could see good change.  If he appoints truly good people to the Supreme Court that in itself can have long term effects on the future of this nation.

I only want to have everyone who reads this to ask themselves a question.

Many have heard the ‘prophecy’ given by the fireman.  Many have been caught up in watching things unfold.  Many have prayed for Mr Trump and for America all across the world.  So many people have said, “Trump said he would build a wall and Ezekiel said that God sought a man that should make up a hedge (wall) and stand in the gap before me and my land.”  The Lord says BUT, I FOUND NONE.  The question we should be asking is…What does this all mean. Should brothers and sisters be putting on their party hats just yet?  Calm down and let’s continue to pray and watch.   Trump is merely a man.  Good intentions and plans,  maybe.  Could they be changed to something opposite along the way, possibly.  CALM DOWN,  stop singing Trump’s praises and keep looking for the One True Saviour,  Jesus Christ our Lord.

It appears the election has been won and sure we all felt a sense of relief and joy and give the glory to God.  We need to continue focusing on God and not Trump.   Keeping your eyes opened wide.

Ezekiel 22:30-31
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.  Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.

Commentary

I imagine that God was looking for a man like Noah. Jerusalem is in a terrible state as we enter this verse, among the list of sinful practices is: princes using their power to shed blood, making idols, oppression of foreigners and mistreatment of the fatherless and the widow, desecrating the Sabbath, men committing detestable offenses against women. God sought a man to stand in the gap so that the Lord could enact change in Jerusalem and bring life where there is currently only sin and death. God found no man that could do this, and thus Jerusalem is delivered into the hand of Babylon.

Nothing Changes

In the book of Daniel we read how our enemies beef is really against God, Jesus Christ.   They hate that we believe the laws of our living God.   The principles we stand on, the foundation is what they despise. John 2:22 When therefore He was risen from the dead,  His disciples remembered that He had said this unto them; and they believed the SCRIPTURE,  and the word which Jesus had said.

Daniel 6:3-5

<

p class=”text” style=”color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:medium;line-height:normal;”>Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.

FANTASY LANDS in the Bible

What do you believe?

Like a Family Quilt

We cry out and we are saved and then what?

1 John 4:15

Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

Romans 10:9-13

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Galatians 6:1-2

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

Jude 1:22-23

And of some have compassion, making a difference: and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Comparison

I am a person who likes to quilt.  I am nor the best but I have made some pretty nice ones for a beginner who for the most part was self taught.   Thanks for you tube videos and the tips I have found from many who are professionals!

So we have the quilt that is so worn and soft and it is used often. Then we have the quilt that IS very beautiful but it seems to be stuck up in the top shelf of the closet and the closet that is located in the bedroom that is vacant and rarely occupied even for a night.

I wonder if Christians can define themselves as the quilt that is accessible and used often or as the one hidden in the top of a closet that is rarely even seen?

It is interesting how maybe we think we are doing well by putting the beautiful quilt away for that special guest that might stop in one day.  Ironically they would probably want the one that the rest of the family goes for.  The nice soft and comfortable and the accessible one.

The quilts might be likened unto two grandmothers.  One is accessible and one is not.  One is comforting and the other is not.   The one that is soft and accessible and often used for comfort, just to be wrapped up in love.  That one probably has much wisdom to share.  She has many family stories to share.  She shares family history.  The one that is rarely used is a little stiff.   Can it be likened to a person that makes you feel a little like you are intruding on them and therefore they simply feel they would do you a favor and fold you back up and put you back up in the dark top shelf of the closet?

God created both.  Both cried out to God that they might be saved.  God called both to go out and comfort many.  God desires both to be used for the glory of the Lord.

It may not be easy for the quilt in the dark closet.  Maybe it longs to share the warmth that God gave it to share.  Perhaps it was in a home for most of the folded years where no one wanted to see it or hear from it so opening up is not as easy for it.  Maybe the one that is so wonderfully used never lived a moment being folded up and stuck in darkness and therefore is confident and comfortable being around everyone.  The one in the closet might be yearning for someone to get it out and wash it a time or two help it, diciple it.

We may cry out to the Lord and He does hear our cry and He saves us but then what?   Most need someone who is able to take them out of the darkness and into the light and show them the ropes.   Soon that quilt might be comfortable and accessible too.  If you are saved and no one cares about you right after then you are more than likely going to go back into the darkness where you feel accepted.  It isn’t where we are called to be but for many of us we are still too vulnerable to be in the light without someone walking with us and showing us the next steps in our journey with the Lord.

As Christians we are all part of the blocks that are sewn together.  Together we can make that family quilt.  Do you see someone who might be gravitating back into the dark closet?  Are you standing around gossiping about them and saying how they must have never been saved?  Are you going to them and helping them feel accepted in their new walk so they don’t end up vulnerable and more comfortable in the place they first started.

Matthew 12:43-45

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
Jude 1:22-23

And of some have compassion, making a difference: and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
I  will end with this praise to the Lord.

Jude 1:24-25

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Choice to Make this Morning

image

One of the hardest things to do is to deny my flesh.  This morning I woke up and got myself a cup of coffee & sat on the couch.  I then did a little reading of news on my phone while my newest puppy laid in my lap chewing on  a teething toy.  I could hear a light rain falling softly outside.  I began to toss around the thought of skipping church.  It crept into my thoughts pretty easily.
THEN, this verse came across my phone on a daily app.  You see giving into my flesh this morning  (not saying it would be horrible if I skipped church), but I would be missing out on renewal of my mind & spirit.

Romans 8:6-8

For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Only God can Reveal

Leviticus 26:12-13
I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people.  I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians; I broke the bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk with heads held high.

Commentary
God “walks” among Israel throughout history. Angels of the Lord appear at various times revealing what is to come. Through the Spirit of God as it is set upon various leaders, judges, kings, and prophets like Samuel, David, Solomon, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Nehemiah, and Malachi. Finally, God chooses to walk among people and reveal Himself as God the Son, Jesus Christ, the Messiah. This is the most literal way that God “walks” among us, and it is through the risen Christ that we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit as we believe in Him!
