Luke 18:1-8
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;  Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:  And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.  And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;  Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.  And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.  And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?  I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Today we have a story of a judge who is “unjust”. The end of this parable finds the corrupt judge granting justice to a widow who simply would not stop bothering him. She does not find justice in her situation because the judge’s heart turns around, but because of her persistence. The question on the table is: Do you believe that God will give you justice? This passage promises that God gives justice to “his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night”, and that he will do it quickly. Are you willing to believe that today and live in a way that reflects that you trust God completely with justice? When we are hurt or wronged, and wish to seek retribution – we either take matters into our own hands, or we release matters into God’s. Let Him take the lead on justice, and allow Him to work forgiveness in your heart.

Let Me Tell You about My God!

What is The Christian Vote – Results!

Dear Father in Heaven

Dear Lord God, I pray that You will continue to mold me and shape me. Even though pruning is not fun it is necessary in order that we become more fruitful.   I long to be fruitful and I long to live in a way that brings joy to You.   Help me Lord,  because left to myself I am doomed to fail.

John 15:1-2
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.  He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

In Christ Jesus, we are connected to the lifeline that allows us to bear good fruit. If we are led by the Holy Spirit, we will work to offer our gifts, talents, and to be led into opportunities designed by God for our lives. There is a desire to do good, created out of our salvation and love relationship with Christ Jesus, and that desire is blessed. This is just part of the process of “working out our salvation with fear and trembling” (Philippians 2:12). A healthy fear of the Lord keeps our hearts open, willing to be led in worship to God.

A Promised Blessing

John 13:15-17
I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.  Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.  Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

Keep Walking without Question

Have you ever felt like the Lord wanted you to do something and you felt so insecure about it in your own skin that you convinced yourself you were clearly wrong and so you do nothing?   On the flip side of that, have you felt like the Lord asked you to do something and you felt insecure in your own skin BUT you had no time between Him putting it in your mind to do it and you having to decide to do it.  No time to talk yourself out of it and so you just go and do it!  God did prepare you perfectly at that moment to do that which He asked.  He wouldn’t send you to do something and have you fail because what way would that glorify Him?

Jeremiah 1:4-8
The word of the Lord came to me, saying,  “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”  “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”  But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.  Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

Just as the Lord knew Jeremiah before He formed him in the womb, so He also knows each one of us. Remember that it is the Lord who imagined and crafted our design even before we were conceived. Also like Jeremiah, there are times when we are called to go into situations where we do not feel confident. Perhaps we feel we are somehow not equipped to do what the Lord is asking of us. In response to that feeling of inadequacy, our Lord replies, “Do not be afraid, for I am with you and will rescue you”. (NIV) The Lord is with you today, and every day.

Can He Count You In?

Clearly we can see that God has a plan and everyday we can choose to be a part of the plan or not to.  Either way just as in Isaiah 55:11 ‘so shall my words be that goes out of my mouth; it shall not return to me empty,  but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it’. Either way, with or without you or me the Lord will use someone who is willing to serve Him to accomplish what has already been ordained. We need to ask ourselves each day, “can God count me ‘in’ on this day”? Don’t say maybe tomorrow, because we only have the here and now and that is all we can be sure of.

Esther 4:14
“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
A man named Haman had orchestrated the annihilation of an entire people; Queen Esther’s people, the Jews. Confronting King Xerxes regarding this effort could cost Esther her life; yet Mordecai, Esther’s cousin, persuaded her to go to the King anyway. After fasting and praying by all the Jews including Esther, she went to the King and found favor in his sight. Sometimes God places us in certain situations so that we, like Esther, can choose to rise to the occasion and stand firm for Him.

“He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands”

Every nation, every kingdom, every state, every city, every town, every home, every mom, every dad, every child, every person.  YES, HE HAS ALL OF US.  He will keep you if you choose to and desire to want Him to guide you. Do you want to follow Him and trust Him in all things? Good times and bad times? You choose because He will not force you or me or anyone to take the refuge He offers.  This life is hard. It is also short.  One day if you choose to follow Him, this life will be but a blurred past and we have a beautiful future that we currently cannot imagine.
The song below is done beautifully.  I hope you listen.

Never Doubt His Plans

Memorize this verse and cling to it . Write it on your hearts.  Don’t let something bad destroy you, but instead let God use it for His glory.  You  can choose a root of bitterness for the enemy or you can choose to pray to our King of Kings and ask how to help someone else who may have the same issue and be healed in so doing by God Almighty!

Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Believers in Christ have been called according to His purpose because it is His delight to see them involved in the outworking of His plan(s). Love the Lord your God today and remember what He has done for you in Christ. No matter the trial, no matter the situation, no matter the cost – God is working for the good of those who love Him. Be infatuated, immersed, and awestruck at how good God is.

What is in Our Heart?

Colossians 3:15
15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. #Bible

Dear Father in Heaven,  please help each of us to see anything which needs cleansed from our hearts. Anything that should not be there.  Anything that will keep Your peace from taking complete rule of our hearts. Show each of us exactly what  we need to do in order to have pure hearts and clean hands so that we may be found worthy to escape all these things about to come upon the earth and so that we will be able to stand before the Son of Man.  Show us each day as we look up in anticipation waiting for the return of our Savior, show us anything that might be staining our garments so that we can repent of ANYTHING that would separate us from your holiness.
We thank You,  we praise You. ..in the name of Jesus we pray.

And What is True Fasting?

I suppose I have never read this chapter slow enough to allow the words to soak in.  I had to get my bible out and read the first 5 verses.

Isaiah 58:6-8
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
Here in Isaiah, we see a true picture of fasting come forth. Stand against injustice, share freedom with the oppressed, share what we have with those who do not have, and do not turn away from our own flesh and blood. Verse 8 gives us clear results of lives dedicated to this kind of fasting. Light will be seen, healing will manifest in and through our lives, your righteousness will pave your way forward, and the glory of the Lord will guard you. I pray that God drives this truth into our hearts and pours out our lives for the fasting He has chosen. With Christ, this can be done!

Thinking about living for The Lord?

How long will you have to think?
Just one more party?
Just until I am married?
Just until I have sex?
Just until I am 25 and had time to have some fun?

Sorry…too late.

Child, you can have fun while serving The Lord. It is a Godly fun. He wants you to enjoy life and only gives us direction for our safety and so we can have life more abundantly. If you are thinking about it then do it! Seek The Lord while He may still be found. There will be a time when it will be too late.
I feel this urgency to tell you that iHis judgement on this earth is coming quickly!

May God bless you…let us all give thanks and praise the name of Jesus! Amen
