Valley of Weeping

Are you in the valley today? Are you on the mountain top? Are you on your way down from the top of the mountain and feel yourself heading at a high rate of speed into that valley of weeping that we all detest? Maybe you are climbing out of the valley after a season, and you have been strengthened and are hiking back up the mountain and you are feeling strong and happy and healthy! Wherever you are, God is with you!

Psalms 84:11

[11] For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Psalm 84:1-12 KJV

How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!

[2] My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord : my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

[3] Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.

[4] Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.

[5] Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them .

[6] Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.

[7] They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

[8] O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.

[9] Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.

[10] For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

[11] For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

[12] O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Commentary taken from my study bible.

84:1, 4 The writer longed to get away from the bustling world to meet God inside his dwelling place, his holy Temple. We can meet God anywhere, at any time. But we know that going into a church building can help us step aside from the busy mainstream of life so we can quietly meditate and pray. We find joy and strength not only in the prayers, music, lessons, and sermons but also in fellowshiping with other believers in a special place.

84:5-7 The pilgrimage to the Temple passed through the barren Valley of Weeping. No specific valley has been identified. The “weeping” may have been a symbolic reference to the times of struggles and tears through which people must pass on their way to meet God. Growing strong in God’s presence is often preceded by a journey through barren places in our lives. The person who loves to spend time with God will see his or her adversity as an opportunity to experience God’s faithfulness even more deeply. If you are walking through your own Valley of Weeping today, be sure your pilgrimage leads toward God, not away from him.

84:11 God does not promise to give us everything we think is good, but he will not withhold what is permanently good. He will give us the means to walk along his paths, but we must do the walking. When we obey him, he will not hold anything back that will help us serve him.

Ears to Hear

Matthew 13:1-9
The same day went Jesus out of the house, and sat by the sea side. And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

COMMENTARY

Matthew 13:18-23: “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

My Father Is…..

John 8:42-47
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

COMMENTARY

In verses 31-32 Jesus says, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Jesus is addressing Jews who have believed Him, yet knowing their hearts He clarifies that they need to be set free. His audience is having a difficult time understanding why they need to be set free. Jesus responds that everyone who sins is a slave to sin. He confront them more by saying, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires.” Satan is in the business of twisting truth into lies and these folks are unable to see Jesus as the truth: the only way to God the Father. Holy Spirit, protect us from being unable to hear the truth. Reveal to us any corrupt allegiance that we have to evil, and let the light of Christ illuminate our hearts.

Danny Castle – STRANGE END TIMES EVENTS!! JULY 2017 (no second chances when the curtain goes down)

John Haller’s Prophecy Update “Israel Trip” May 28th, 2017

Another Jesus, Spirit, Gospel (Pastor Charles Lawson)

Powerful!   This gave me a renewed passion to pray for those I love so dearly that are lost.   God works in amazing ways!

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul:

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil: for thou art with me;

Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:

Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:

And I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

God Takes Care of His Own-Do You Know Him?

Tell of His Wonderful Works!

(1 Chronicles 16:7-36; Psalm 95:1-11; Psalm 106:1-48)

1O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

2Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

3Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.

4Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

6O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.

7 He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.

8He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

9Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;

10And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:

11Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:

12When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.

13When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;

14He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;

15Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

16Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.

17He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

18Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:

19Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.

20The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.

21He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:

22To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.

23Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

24And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.

25He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.

26He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.

27They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.

28He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.

29He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.

30Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.

31He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.

32He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.

33He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.

34He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,

35And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.

36He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

38Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

40The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.

42For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.

43And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

44And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;

45That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.

People All Around  (yet still feeling alone) Trust-Even Then

Life isn’t this slice of Heaven that the commercials you see on TV might try to convince you of. Marketing lies to the masses and whispers to each one quietly.

How you ask?

It seems, we here in America, think we probably are in need of the newest gadget they are pushing. For many it is impossible because you cannot afford it as you are struggling just to put food on the table.

Commercials have this way of showing the perfect or what would seem as perfect little families.   All are laughing and having a great time!   The ‘Leave it to Beaver’ show with all housewives only wishing and falling short of ever becoming a June Cleaver.  (If you haven’theard of the show then forget the comment as you are simply too young.)

This leaves people who are not enjoying this level of perceived happiness feeling like something must be terribly wrong.  Wrong with them or wrong with their spouse.  I will buy this and certainly I am going to have this joy!

Some who are in the group simply trying to put food on the table might be left thinking, ‘if I could only have a better job so I could make enough money to buy this THEN, I might be happy like the rest of the world. ‘

The sooner each of us realizes that whether rich or poor we all have the same void.  The same sense that something isn’t right.  We are in need of something and so we chase things,  long for things,  buy things, become consumed with things. Most of us, if we are honest with ourselves and can admit it have been caught up in that LIE at some point in our life.

1 Timothy 6:7-8

For we brought nothing into this world,  and it is certain we can carry nothing out.   And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

Stop watching and falling for the lie.   God, the Lord Jesus Christ is the only one who can fill that pit, that void that we all have deep within our souls.  Seek Him…

Jesus never said life would be wonderful.  We tent c to think once we are saved things will finally change and our great happy life will arrive.  NOPE.  Jesus did say the following in

John 16:33…(just before He would be taken to be crucified)

These things I have spoken unto you,  that ye might have peace.   In the world ye shall have tribulation,  but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Psalm 33

Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous:

For praise is comely for the upright.

Praise the Lord with harp:

Sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Sing unto him a new song;

Play skilfully with a loud noise.

For the word of the Lord is right;

And all his works are done in truth.

He loveth righteousness and judgment:

The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made;

And all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap:

He layeth up the depth in storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the Lord:

Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

For he spake, and it was done;

He commanded, and it stood fast.

The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought:

He maketh the devices of the people of none effect.

The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever,

The thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;

And the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

The Lord looketh from heaven;

He beholdeth all the sons of men.

From the place of his habitation he looketh

Upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

He fashioneth their hearts alike;

He considereth all their works.

There is no king saved by the multitude of an host:

A mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

An horse is a vain thing for safety:

Neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him,

Upon them that hope in his mercy;

To deliver their soul from death,

And to keep them alive in famine.

Our soul waiteth for the Lord:

He is our help and our shield.

For our heart shall rejoice in him,

Because we have trusted in his holy name.

Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us,

According as we hope in thee.
