Where are we on the time-line. What’s coming?

Oh, To Praise Our God

Psalm 107:8-9

Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

Commentary

Lord God, we praise You today for Your incredible faithfulness and unfailing love. It is You Lord who has made it possible for us to know You, and to be in relationship with You – our loving Father. When we thirst, we can run to You with great confidence and sure hope. Thank You Lord, that I thirst for You. Thank You Lord, that when I am weak, You are strong enough to lead me back to You. No words are great enough to describe Your goodness. Thank You for choosing to be our God.

Thank you!

I am thankful for all of my family and friends.
I am also thankful for…
running water
heated water
Shelter from the weather
Blankets
Warm comfortable bed
Car
My dogs
Police officers
Firemen
Doctors
My job
Sunrises
Sunsets
Rain
Sunshine
Seasons
The list goes on and on.  BUT….above all these things I am the most thankful for God Loving us so much that He provided a way for all of us to be saved from our sinful ways.  We cannot be in the Holy presence of God the Father while we are in our sin.  Because He came down in the form of man whose name was Jesus and born of a virgin, Mary.  Because He discipled men and healed many and taught us through the scriptures in the Holy Bible the way we are to walk.  Because He was sacrificed and crucified on a cross for all of our sins even though He was sinless and perfect.  We can be saved, we can have eternal life with Him.  We can choose to accept the free gift of salvation that He offers all who believe, who have child like faith in Him.  We must fully give our lives to Him daily, repent of our sinful ways.  We all sin, one way or another everyday. Maybe it is simply a fleeting thought but is still sin.  It must be repented.  We must walk humbly with Him while he continues to change us and mold us as we grow.

I am so thankful that the Lord God lifted the Vail from my eyes so that while I once was blind I now can see!

Praise the Lord God Almighty!  Thank You for your mercy and grace!

You too can have this.  Wherever you are, whoever you are.  You say you have done too many horrid things for God to love you?  Never my friend.  The Bible is packed with examples of men who have done bad things and yet God used them for His Glory, He picked them up and dusted the filth off of them and washed them clean and white as snow and He forgave them. They became His and He was there God.  He is still living and forgiving and waiting on you to cry out in your need for Him.  Muslim, murderers, thief, lier, unforgiving, full of hatred, drug addict….list goes on and on and He already knows more details about your sin than you know.  He still loves you and is waiting for you.  Turn to Him before it is too late.  The one true God!

Dry Mouth?

I think it is great!  I pray my thirst is never completely satisfied until I leave this place!

Psalm 42:1-2
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?
Commentary
God is our very life, and it is right that we “thirst” for Him. Father, we pray today that You would create a thirst in us for You, the living God. May the Holy Spirit lead us to the well of life that You offer each day; especially through the hard times. The truth is that all are desperately lost without You, and in great need of a Savior. We praise You for that Savior Jesus, and ask that we would never stop desiring more of You Lord God. Thank you Jesus for being the living water that never runs dry.

Declaration

Ever have one of those days?  I started out with a positive attitude.  Walked in the doors at work and it went south rather quickly.  On my drive in

image

I asked the Lord to help me walk in his ways.  I asked for help in serving Him.  I prayed to avoid complaining.  I felt like I failed before I even got past the starting gate.
I am humble and I am thankful I serve an understanding and loving and forgiving God.  I have a hard time forgiving myself for all my imperfections, and they are many.

Psalm 19:12-14
But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression. May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Commentary
Asking God forgiveness for hidden faults comes from a place of humility, from a heart that recognizes that we will never know ourselves as well as God knows us. “Presumptuous sin” (NKJV) parades around like a juggernaut to our faith. These sins want us to feel ashamed, like we cannot approach God, or do not have control over them. Take up the armor of God and do not be fooled! Stand firm in your faith! Give the battles of addiction and deliberate sin to the Lord for triumph! He is able to forgive and you are able to overcome by the power of Christ!

Joy! ANOTHER GREAT DAY! Really? YES!

Why praise the Lord today?
We woke up this morning.
We slept in a warm comfortable bed.
We had a roof over our heads.
We have food in our cabinet and refrigerator.
We have heat and air.
We probably have a car to get us where we need to be.
We have jobs.
We have clothes on our backs.
We have hot water for warm showers.
We live in America and as of this moment it is still a pretty safe place to live. Even if you live in a bad area, all you need to do is compare it to the countries in the middle east to KNOW that you are still in the safest country.
AND LAST BUT SHOULD BE FIRST…….We have a savior and I pray you know Him!
So, for all those reasons, we have a lot to be thankful for this morning!

Please keep all who are less fortunate in your prayers and help wherever you can!

Can life be this nice?

Note to self…..

So we had a thought of an easier life. A quieter place. A place outside where you did not have to see everything your neighbor was doing. What your neighbor was wearing. Was your neighbor going to mow? How about their garage that was an embarrassment to us if their garage door was open?

Well, there is a place like that. If you want it. I know some like the crazy fast pace and I was one of them when I was a younger individual. I do still want it to a degree but but as I approach 50 this is awesome!

Walk outside and feel the warm breeze blow across your arms and face and the sun so bright. The trees are rustling from the. Light wind. Shhhhh…listen, yes that is right, listen to nature. We hear a train and a horn a short distance away but other than that nothing. We do love the train sounds.

Need a plumber or any other tech? No problem. Call one and then once you make that connection you are given their number and they are right their when you need them the next time. You begin to know all the people at the local diners. All the people in the stores are friendly and love to help you, young or old. I KNOW THIS IS CRAZY BUT even all the kids are so much more polite. I know right?

Well, we do not mind the 20 mile commute to work. The good Lord blesses me with a beautiful canvas across the morning sky. Yes, it is new and different everyday and not one is any less beautiful than the one before.

We are thankful.
