Powerful! This gave me a renewed passion to pray for those I love so dearly that are lost. God works in amazing ways!
Even so come…Lord Jesus come!
We all want to be a winner! We all want to be the one to catch the ball!
- Are you prepared?
- Are you dressed for the game?
- Do you know all the rules?
- Do you have a good coach?
- Is your team ready? Practiced up?
Are you and all your team-mates too busy playing around or squabbling over little things to be paying attention to what you should be? Are you going to find yourself wondering what just happened AND it is only because you have been horsing around instead of WATCHING and LISTENING?
Are you too busy worrying about YOURSELF? Too busy taking selfies to post on your favorite social media site so that everyone knows how GREAT YOU LOOK or so that everyone knows where you are and what you are doing, after all it IS all about YOU right?
These little ones are setting a pretty good example! They are dressed! They are watching! Sun might be in their eyes but they are doing their best!
Our coaches, or our world leaders, or whoever it might be are figuring it all out for us. RIGHT? I mean we have nothing to worry about because our coaches will tell us when we need to worry or watch or be concerned. Our news on TV will certainly be telling us the truth. NO WORRIES! CARRY ON…TAKE YOUR SELFIES….NO NEED TO KNOW THE RULES TO THE GAME…NO NEED! Our leaders will tell you WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN YOU NEED TO KNOW IT!
So, you may be asking….WHAT IS YOUR POINT TODAY LADY? I am not following…..
First point is that in case you have not noticed things are getting crazier by the day! In the past we may have heard the beats of the war drums. We may have found ourselves a little nervous or anxious at times.
This morning I found myself thinking about the saying we all have heard. “When they are trying to make you watch this ‘big silly thing over here’, then you might want to look a different direction because there is probably something else you need to be paying attention to. They might be trying to distract you from what your concerns really should be over.
This morning I was trying to see if anyone got blown up during the night while I slept. Did anything change on the world stage? Lately every hour something new is happening! I mean, it is hard to even know which direction to watch. Who wants to wipe us off the planet? I began to think about baseball. I started thinking if you are in the outfield and you are not paying attention or not looking in the right direction when that ball is headed for you then you WILL NOT BE PREPARED! We have something possible from many directions. Is the ball going to be thrown at us by the Russians? By the Iranians? By the Chinese? By North Korea? Then we must ask…who is even on who’s team? We have watched alliances form between Russia and Turkey. Russia and China. Russia and Iran. Russia and Syria. Russia and Israel. There are many more but these seem to be the ones coming to my mind at the moment. I really did not expect those to be the ones I thought of. Since they did I have to say how interesting it is that Russia is a common denominator between the few I listed.
So, WHAT direction do we look? Do we watch for the Russians? Do we watch Syria? Do we watch Iran? Do we watch China? Do we watch N. Korea? How about all the evil ones sitting in Afghanistan?
May I suggest that if you or myself or anyone else is asking this question then it is time to get out the rule book and figure it out and quick!
Yes, the Holy Bible is our only truth! Our only rulebook! This book of the word of God is really all we need.
Mat_10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
First, this verse tells us to FEAR NOT. Actually the phrase “fear not” pulled up 62 times in the KJV both old and new testament.
Luk 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
What things? When do we stop looking at everything coming at us and LOOK UP?
Luk 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Luk 21:26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Is it just me or has everything gone haywire in the last few years? So, we need to not listen to what the news tells us or what the leaders say or what the scientists say. They all have an excuse for this or that. Keep your eyes on the only ONE that matters! Keep looking up! Don’t let wars and rumors of wars cause you distress. The world is freaking out. Nature is freaking out. The seas are freaking out. It is enough to cause everyone to come unhinged. We must repent and cry out to God! Repent! Admit we are sinners and in GREAT NEED for our Savior Jesus Christ! Believe it as a child! Accept His free gift! Ask Him to begin to change you, clean you up, wash you up. Give you new desires in your heart, desires that line up with His desires for us. Ask Him to help us to love Him more and more every single day! Seek Him with our whole being!
Jesus Christ is coming for His bride. I do not know the day nor the hour. I do know we are in the season. The question should be….”Will we be ready?”
The Lesson of the Fig Tree
Luk 21:29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
Luk 21:30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
Luk 21:31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
Luk 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
Luk 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Luk 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
Luk 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Luk 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
I am a little disturbed by many seemingly grounded Christians who have seemed to have went off the deep end of singing the praises of President Elect Donald Trump. I am glad he won this election over the Clinton bunch. Trump is merely a man. If he does what he says he will do, God willing, then we could see good change. If he appoints truly good people to the Supreme Court that in itself can have long term effects on the future of this nation.
I only want to have everyone who reads this to ask themselves a question.
Many have heard the ‘prophecy’ given by the fireman. Many have been caught up in watching things unfold. Many have prayed for Mr Trump and for America all across the world. So many people have said, “Trump said he would build a wall and Ezekiel said that God sought a man that should make up a hedge (wall) and stand in the gap before me and my land.” The Lord says BUT, I FOUND NONE. The question we should be asking is…What does this all mean. Should brothers and sisters be putting on their party hats just yet? Calm down and let’s continue to pray and watch. Trump is merely a man. Good intentions and plans, maybe. Could they be changed to something opposite along the way, possibly. CALM DOWN, stop singing Trump’s praises and keep looking for the One True Saviour, Jesus Christ our Lord.
It appears the election has been won and sure we all felt a sense of relief and joy and give the glory to God. We need to continue focusing on God and not Trump. Keeping your eyes opened wide.
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.
I imagine that God was looking for a man like Noah. Jerusalem is in a terrible state as we enter this verse, among the list of sinful practices is: princes using their power to shed blood, making idols, oppression of foreigners and mistreatment of the fatherless and the widow, desecrating the Sabbath, men committing detestable offenses against women. God sought a man to stand in the gap so that the Lord could enact change in Jerusalem and bring life where there is currently only sin and death. God found no man that could do this, and thus Jerusalem is delivered into the hand of Babylon.

Tell of His Wonderful Works!
1O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.
2Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.
3Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
4Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.
5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
6O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
7 He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth.
8He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
9Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
10And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
11Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
12When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
13When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
14He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
15Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
16Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
17He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
18Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
19Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
20The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
21He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
22To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
23Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies.
25He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants.
26He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen.
27They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.
28He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
29He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish.
30Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
31He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts.
32He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
33He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts.
34He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,
35And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground.
36He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.
37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
38Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.
39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
40The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river.
42For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant.
43And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
44And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
45That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD.
p class=”text” style=”color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:medium;line-height:normal;”>Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
Make no mistake, God loves you. This verse is not a measure of God’s love for you, His love for you does not vary depending upon your closeness to Him. Whatever you feel for Him, or whatever you think of Him, He loves you right now. In order to grow in our relationship with God in Christ Jesus, we must “draw near to God”. (NKJV) This comes from repentance, and from choosing to live in the light. It is Jesus alone who washes us clean of our sin, and it is the power of God alone that purifies our hearts. We desperately need God, and that knowledge should humble us to live with gratitude.

In the book of Daniel we read how our enemies beef is really against God, Jesus Christ. They hate that we believe the laws of our living God. The principles we stand on, the foundation is what they despise. John 2:22 When therefore He was risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this unto them; and they believed the SCRIPTURE, and the word which Jesus had said.
p class=”text” style=”color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:medium;line-height:normal;”>Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.
