We all know someone like this. Right?

I think we might know someone like this. In fact I think we could be very intimately aware of them. I might dare to add that it could be possible THAT PERSON deceives even the best of us daily. What do you think?

Ezekiel 28:2
“Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ ‘In the pride of your heart you say, “I am a god; I sit on the throne of a god in the heart of the seas.” But you are a mere mortal and not a god, though you think you are as wise as a god.

COMMENTARY
The prince of Tyre might as well have said, “The world revolves around me.” It’s clear who sits on the throne of his heart, and it is not the Lord God. Each day we all face different variations of temptation and evil, but all of it is bent on placing someone other than God on the throne of our hearts. Perhaps it is entertainment or technology, pride or achievement, or even friends or family. Good things are sometimes the best pretenders, and can hold the throne without us even recognizing it. Exodus 34:14 says, “Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.” Deuteronomy 6:5 says, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” You can’t love Him with everything until your “everything” is loving Him.

(My own commentary)
Let’s be honest with ourselves for a minute. Don’t put the verse in Ezekiel 28:2 in a small box and say that is not me because I don’t think of myself as a god. Ask yourself how many times you get upset with someone who does not agree with you 100%? Obviously you know best right? You are trying to tell them, keep them from making the same mistake you have. Steer them from trouble that you can see coming their way. They simply NEED TO LISTEN TO YOU. OR How many times do we simply say even if just to ourselves…they don’t care, they don’t hear my needs, I have asked over and over and it is like they are not even listening.
We need to STOP IT! Shut our mouths for a bit. We are deceiving ourselves if we think for a minute that these thoughts and attitudes are not putting ourselves up there in the god spot. Sure, we are not intentionally doing it but does that matter? We must pray always, seek God in all things. We must get out of God’s way sometimes and more often than not. Sure, we can offer advice if we see a loved one headed for destruction but if they are not listening then stop. The ONLY TRUE GOD WHO SITS ON THE THRONE has the best and the perfect plan. Maybe this person needs to fall so they can seek the help they need from our Father in Heaven.
Bottom line is that we all either daily or too often think the world revolves around us and people just should do what we say. Give us what we want. Create a happy place for our awesome selves! RIGHT? We must search our hearts daily. When we catch our own hearts and minds deceiving us we need to stop it then. Repent. How will we know? The more we read the word of God the easier we can spot these things. They will become incredibly clear.

Thank you dear Jesus for guiding us every step of the way.

Fear of The Lord

Not the exact title. This is sermon for resurrection Sunday by JD Farag. A message we all need to hear. Listen to the end. Speaks to 99% of us. Yes, even if you think you are where you need to be.

Watergate and The Resurrection

Wow! I like it and find it inspiring. I love the word of God and this only strengthens my belief. Maybe someone needs that today.

The First Coming of Jesus…   “The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.”  Matt 28:5-6

The Second Coming of Jesus… “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord…”  1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Deep Waters…

Mark 15:42-47
It was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath). So as evening approached, Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. Pilate was surprised to hear that he was already dead. Summoning the centurion, he asked him if Jesus had already died. When he learned from the centurion that it was so, he gave the body to Joseph. So Joseph bought some linen cloth, took down the body, wrapped it in the linen, and placed it in a tomb cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb. Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph saw where he was laid.

COMMENTARY
Joseph is a member of the Jewish ruling council: he’s a Pharisee. This same account in John 19:38-40, says that Nicodemus, another Pharisee, assisted with this and purchased an expensive mixture of myrrh and aloes for Jesus’ burial. The hearts of both of these men were opened to receive Jesus. Not only that, but they are being used by God as instruments to prepare His beloved Son’s burial. The true Passover Lamb is Jesus. He is offered up to shield us from certain death and condemnation by our sin. It is His blood that covers us and restores our relationship with God. Joseph and Nicodemus believe, and we are able to see two hearts that blossom in response to grace. Romans 10:17 says, “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.”

I am Loved

God is Love
God is my Creator
God is my Father
God is my friend
God is my teacher
God will not leave me
God is the I Am
God is the First
God is the Last
God is the Alpha and the Omega
God is the Beginning and He is the End

God sent His only begotten son Jesus, to die for my sins.
He died for your sins too.
Do you know Jesus?
If not do you want to know Jesus?
He first loved us so that we might know how to love.
He gave me a choice. He has given you a choice too.
Choose this day whom you will serve.
In two days I will celebrate His resurrection. Will you also choose that?
He will return soon. We do not know the day or the hour but I pray that all who do not know Him will seek Him before it is too late.

Love to you all…
Hope you have had a Good Friday!

America, oh America the Beautiful

Oh I so remember…..

What has went so wrong?
When did it all begin?
We could not have awaken and it was here….this place that was once wholesome, a place with more families teaching morals….or were they?
We still said, “The Pledge of Allegiance,” in school when I was a kid.
Today they say it just takes too long.
They say someone might be offended. WAIT, THIS IS STILL AMERICA…RIGHT? It it offends them then maybe they need to go back to the country where English is not the main language or where being Christian does not make your skin crawl. If it does then maybe you can learn to tolerate that which our country was founded on. Not saying you have to become a Christian but just show a little kindness to us and what we patriots believe.
Morals should be your compass. I have done plenty wrong, but I made the choice and I did get pregnant. I did not have an abortion. Why do so many ladies not even learn after one, but go back for two or three more? You heard me.
Why do we have kids shooting and killing others in school what seems like daily. No gun, no worries because a knife will do the trick.
People we are killing ourselves. Teach your children morals and how to be respectful of all. Demand God be an part of you family. Put Him in our schools.

Turn,
Repent
Laugh at me if you choose but I am sick of being politically correct! When did America the Beautiful begin to look a little on the trashy side? I think it began when we began shutting the door in the face of The Lord God Almighty. He will come soon, ready or not. Open your eyes and get your house in order. Turn from sin and repent. Then, live that new life and pass it on to all you know.

Fear who?

Jesus Teaches the Fear of God
4 “And I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!

Do you know Christ? Do you know His word? Do you have a relationship with our creator? He is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega. He is The Lord God Almighty!

If you don’t know Him, please seek Him today while He still may be found.

God bless all….

Do you believe?

Habakkuk 1:5

“Look at the nations and watch—and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.

Simple….so will you believe? Do you believe what The Lord has spoken to us through His word. Each of us pray for God to help us with our un-belief.

So much emotion!! Do you relate to one over the other?

#1

Ecclesiastes 2:18-23
18 I hated all the things I had toiled for under the sun, because I must leave them to the one who comes after me. 19 And who knows whether he will be a wise man or a fool? Yet he will have control over all the work into which I have poured my effort and skill under the sun. This too is meaningless. 20 So my heart began to despair over all my toilsome labor under the sun. 21 For a man may do his work with wisdom, knowledge and skill, and then he must leave all he owns to someone who has not worked for it. This too is meaningless and a great misfortune. 22 What does a man get for all the toil and anxious striving with which he labors under the sun? 23 All his days his work is pain and grief; even at night his mind does not rest. This too is meaningless.

WHAT?
WOW, what emotion!
Hate
Worry
Losing control of what you worked for to another
wasted effort
wasted skill
despair
anxious
strife
grief
pain
Mind will not rest at night

#TWO
Ecclesiastes 2:24-26
24 A man can do nothing better than to eat and drink1 and find satisfaction in his work.2 This too, I see, is from the hand of God,3 25 for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment?4 26 To the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom,5 knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner he gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth6 to hand it over to the one who pleases God.7 This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.
peace
contentment
trust in God
happiness

First one is clear…workaholics, perfectionist. A person who is unhappy. Always wanting more. So tired but lay your head down and you cannot sleep. Mind racing, JUST STOPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!
Only to get up and do it all over again. Feel unappreciated. Work hard and pour your life into this and tossed your friends and family to the wayside. And for what? When you are in the middle of your life then they decide they are looking for a newer model. New ideas. Fresh perspective. Yes, someone else who is much younger can come in and sit in your chair and take over your department that you build from the ground up. One year later if that long you will be nothing but a far distant memory. And for what? Yes, something meaningless. Now all the meaningful things are gone. Loved ones grown up and moved away. A wife or a husband with whom you do not have a word to say. Who is this person? Not just your spouse, but who are you? Do you even have a clue yourself? All meaningless….

Second one may or may not have money or things. Scripture does not say. Nothing about material things anyway. He is filled with food and water and satisfied. He pleases God not man. God will give that man the gift of wisdom and knowledge and happiness. He is rich in these things. The end of it in verse 26 goes from happiness back to the sinner and his task is to gather and store up wealth to hand over to the man God chooses for him to give it to. Meaningless.

I think I need to stop holding on so tight to my work. I thought I trusted God with everything but now I wonder. I seem to relate a lot to the first group of scripture. I cannot sleep either. I love God with everything I have. Dear Lord, here I am, show me how to find the peace you speak of. The life that has meaning. I will wait for you Lord. I will wait.

Mid East Prophecy…too short today? JD Farag

If many of you are like me you wait on the edge of your seat for JD Farag to upload his prophecy update on Sunday’s! I think he is a terrific pastor even when preaching a regular sermon…not on prophecy. I think there was more to his short prophecy update today. I think everyone should watch his regular sermon for today. I think I had to evaluate things about myself. Maybe I look too forward to that update that I am missing a lot of other things.

Thank you JD!!!
God Bless you all……………

Hard Times

Hebrews 12:6-11
because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”  Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?  If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all.  Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!  They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.  No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
COMMENTARY

When hardship and difficulties come rushing through my door, my first thought is usually, “Why me?” I wonder what I did wrong to deserve this. Thoughts cross my mind like, “this is happening to me because I haven’t been praying lately”, or “this wouldn’t be happening if I would have…” I take the new disaster going on in my life and I place it squarely on my own shoulders, knowing it is impossible that I could bear it alone. God is leading us somewhere, and trust me, we want to be where He wants to lead us. The painful process of suffering through hardship is not easy, and it is not a solo mission. God is not looking for us to endure alone, but for the process to create a deeper relationship with Him and for us to trust Him and rely upon Him in those storms.
